What becomes a legend most? When the legend is revered postmodern choreographer Rudy Perez and the occasion is his 80th birthday, the answer is two evenings brimming with new dance works created for Perez by some of the dancers and choreographers he has mentored in his four decades in L.A. Under the title Perezian Geometry , the current and former dancers of the Rudy Perez Performance Ensemble take the stage, and include Anne & Jeff Grimaldo, Mona Jean Cedar, Tamsin Carlson, Sarah Swenson, Jamie Benson and Brad Horowitz. Perez is credited with creating more than 50 dances. This time, the new dances are a gift to him, and gifts everyone can enjoy.
