64-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision near Swan Road

TUCSON, AZ (December 12, 2022) – Tuesday night, a pedestrian crash along Speedway Boulevard claimed the life of Roxane Marie Fobes.

The fatal accident occurred near the intersection of Swan Road and Speedway Boulevard, per Tucson authorities.

According to reports, a Jeep struck 64-year-old Fobes in the roadway under unknown circumstances. Responding authorities pronounced Fobes dead at the scene due to the extent of her injuries.

Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. A large portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties, but has since been reopened.

At this time, authorities are currently conducting an active investigation into the fatal pedestrian collision and will release more information as soon as it becomes available.
