Deadly Collision on Interstate 5 Sends Rosa Clarke to Hospital Where She Later Died

CARLSBAD, CA (October 12, 2021)  Rosa Clarke, 61, of San Juan Capistrano, died on Saturday from her injuries sustained in a car accident on Interstate 5.

The collision occurred on Interstate 5 around 3:00 p.m., on September 27. Crews responded shortly after.

Clarke was driving her car southbound when she lost control on the off-ramp at La Costa Avenue and smashed into traffic barrels, according to reports.

Clarke’s car swung around and collided with a pickup truck as a result of the accident.

Medics transported Clarke to a hospital, where she went unconscious and medical personnel administered life-saving measures on her.

Clarke’s health worsened on Saturday, and she died at Scripps Memorial Hospital from her injuries.

At this time, authorities are conducting active investigation of the crash, once available more information will be released.
