23-Year-Old Cyclist Killed in Bicycle Collision on Hayes Avenue

FRESNO, CA (June 30, 2022) A bicycle accident on West Shaw Avenue claimed the life of Rohit Singh, Thursday evening.

Officers responded to the scene just before 9:00 p.m., at the intersection of West Shaw Avenue and Hayes Avenue.

Investigators said that an eastbound SUV approached the intersection at a stop sign. For reasons unknown, a bicyclist rode directly into the path of the SUV on Hayes Avenue and collided with their vehicle.

Upon arrival, authorities located a man lying in the intersection. Eventually, paramedics declared the cyclist dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts.

The Fresno County Coroner’s office later identified the deceased victim as 23-year-old Singh, of Fresno.

Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
