Two men who were fatally shot in separate attacks near Exposition Park June 8 have been identified as 34-year-old Rodney Nelson and Raymond Louis Gage, 41. Both men were shot within a few blocks of each other, a few minutes apart, and died at the same hospital. Gage was discovered in the 1000 block of West 35th Street Tuesday night. Nelson was found shot in the 3000 block of Budlong Avenue. Gage and Nelson died about two hours apart.

It is not clear whether the two shootings are related or whether the two men knew each other. Police reported that there were two additional shootings around the same time and place but no one died.
