Admit it. You've fantasized about it: strolling into a Rodeo Drive boutique, grabbing what you can and making a run for it. Of course you would never do it. There are cameras everywhere. The alarms are, well, alarming. And the Beverly Hills Police Department has a response time that is the envy of cops from coast to coast. Plus, it's just plain wrong.

Nonetheless, a crew pulled it off at the Saint Laurent Paris boutique, at least until the BHPD tracks them down:

The department says “multiple suspects” shattered the entrance to Saint Laurent Paris about 4:15 a.m. yesterday and made off with more than $100,000 worth of French fine goods.

The burglary at 469 N. Rodeo Drive set off an alarm, but when officers arrived the bad guys were gone, BHPD said in a statement:

It is believed numerous handbags, clothing and shoes were taken; the exact dollar loss is unknown at this time. However, it is believed to be substantial and in excess of 100,000 dollars.

How do you say ouch in French?

Detectives say they have security video but won't release it, indicating to us that they're itching to catch these guys before asking the public for help.

However, if you do have any tips, they'd love to hear from you: (310) 285-2145.
