Victim of Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Clovis, Identified

CLOVIS, CA (June 15, 2021) – Police are investigating a pedestrian accident in Clovis that claimed the life of Rod Lawley on Thursday.

The Clovis Police Department responded to the incident around 10:00 p.m., near Shaw and Peach Avenue.

Upon arrival, the responders discovered a man lying down on the roadway. Eventually, medical personnel transported the man to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The coroner’s office later identified the deceased victim as 54-year-old Rod Lawley, of Clovis. However, the driver involved who struck him immediately fled the scene before the authorities arrived.

The Clovis Officials are encouraging anyone with information about the hit-and-run to contact authorities at 559-324-2800.
