SEPT. 28-OCT. 4, 2007
Online readers may already be aware that Mercury and Mars are
the featured players in the drama lit by the gorgeous harvest full moon. Their
supportive trine was exact just two short hours before the Aries moon opposed
the Libra sun Wednesday afternoon, and a mere 24 hours before Mercury exits Libra
for Scorpio on Thursday. Mars makes its move out of Gemini into Cancer on Friday,
American Indian Day. Both planets will go retrograde in their new signs; for the
gory details, see below

Aries

After your Mars ruler enters nurturing Cancer on Friday, you might become a kinder,
gentler battering Ram, taking even better care of the people you care about. Plus,
you'll be doing it far longer than anyone expects. That's because
Mars turns retrograde in mid-November, revisits Gemini at New Year's and
goes direct at the end of January. Mars will keep you on the road or at your keyboard
(areas ruled by the Gemini Twins) before it re-enters Cancer for March and April.
The Crab-induced mood swings should end after the Warrior invades Leo in May.

Taurus

Time to let you know that Mercury will soon be turning retrograde (October 11)
in your Scorpio house of people you depend on. That's the same sphere where
contracts are hammered out and deals for smoother partnership relationships are
made, the “your turn to curtsy, my turn to bow” zone. The Messenger
will retrogress back into well-mannered Libra for a while, but it's the
transit through passionate Scorpio that'll result in gut-wrenching experiences.
By December, whatever did or didn't take place will be a memory –
good or bad, but not indifferent.

Gemini

Read for Taurus. It's your Mercury ruler that's about to flip into
reverse, either in your sixth house of health, work and daily doings or, if you're
more a June bug than a May flower, in your house of romance and recreation. Folks
celebrating Halloween in a big way should make those arrangements ASAP. Although
it's not crucial that you solidify travel plans for Thanksgiving, it's
not too early to find out who'll be around. Retrograde runs from October
11 to November 1, a tricky time to be at the mercy of electromagnetic gizmos and
bad brakes. Fix them now.

Cancer

Read for Aries. Macho Mars enters Cancer on Friday for what normally would be
its biannual six-week visit. However, in mid-November, Mars turns retrograde for
the holiday season, revisits Gemini and, come March, returns to your sign. This
should give you plenty of time to schedule a surgical procedure or do whatever
it takes to get your body in shape. Mars' infusion of physical energy and
crusading spirit can be a tremendous asset, one that needs to be handled with
kid gloves so that you don't morph into a beautiful, buff bully.

Leo

The Lion has such a generous nature, replete with sweeping gestures (accompanying
sweeping generalities), it doesn't want to be bothered or get bogged down
by the teeny-weeny details that Mercury should oversee. However, before the Messenger
turns retrograde on 10/11 in your house of communication and commuting, and starts
to mess with your smooth-running routine, take charge. Do whatever is necessary
to prevent a meltdown later on, e.g., bring the car or computer in for repair,
get in touch with people on your “to do” list.

Virgo

Virgos can be especially sensitive about the information they glean while their
Mercury ruler is in surreptitious Scorpio. You might also sense that an air of
mystery bordering on danger is developing. After the Messenger turns retrograde
on 10/11, those suspicions may hamper a thought process that you've occasionally
allowed a ray of sunshine to peek through. However, on the day that retro Mercury
returns to “fair and balanced” Libra, the sun crosses the Scorpio
cusp and reinforces both real and imaginary fears. Boo, Happy Halloween!

Libra

You soon could have another opportunity to wrest more pleasure, more satisfaction
from the last of three favorable trines your Venus ruler has established with
passionate Pluto. Although these contacts may be messy, the impressions they leave
can stay with you far longer than either party anticipates. Just be aware that
because amiable, affectionate Venus is in your house of casual acquaintances while
intensely secretive Pluto is lurking in your neighborhood or on the Net, you need
to exercise a certain amount of caution.

Scorpio

Read for Libra. The Scorpion needn't always play the heavy, it's simply
that the black hat becomes you and you wear it very well. However, when you tip
the tables so that the focus lands on your Pluto co-ruler, the forecast becomes
much more benign. Picture gracious, generous Venus in your Leo career house bestowing
her gifts on Pluto in your Sagittarius house of the money you earn and the assets
you possess. Take note, the supportive trine aspect needn't be confined
to finances; it could just as easily reward a quality you value.

Sagittarius

Read for Scorpio. It's Pluto in your sign that is being blessed by Venus
in fire-friendly Leo, a sign just as high-spirited as you are. Because this is
the last of three trine aspects between the goddess of love and beauty and the
god of the underworld, by now you should have a pretty good idea where this supportive
relationship has taken you, and how whatever you've been obsessing about
since early July is being resolved. While Pluto is parked at the Galactic Center
of the Milky Way, the matter could take on cosmic proportions.

Capricorn

You've just made a friend. Mercury's transit through Scorpio can help
you in ways that'll become evident from now through November. Except for
a few weeks when retrograde Mercury revisits Libra and speaks through the women
who've been giving you grief for most of September. The dates you need to
pay particular attention to what you learn are this Sunday, the 30th, October
19 and November 16, which is when Mercury and Saturn perfect their sextile relationship.
The opportunities might seem slight, but they'll lead to bigger things.

Aquarius

You don't appear to have a gun pointed at your head this week, so why not
enjoy the bright social life the Libra sun offers you? Sharing ideas and resources
this week with a Libra or a Leo can reboot your creativity when the sun supports
imaginative Neptune in your sign on 10/12. Since Mercury turns retrograde the
day before, it would be politic if you made an effort to get your ducks lined
up and, in case you find you have a clear shot at something, notified them ahead
of time. Do you remember, “What goes around comes around”?

Pisces

Fish may need to show some patience before seeing how the planetary changes taking
place this week affect you. It's possible that Mercury and Mars moving into
Scorpio and Cancer, the other two water signs, won't mean anything until
they form tight aspects to your natal Pisces planets. Those of you born in February
are first in line; those in March might not feel or face anything different until
the Halloween decorations come down. If health benefits or conditions at the workplace
are on your mind, charm your way to an agreement on Wednesday.
