JUNE 1 – 7, 2007
June is bustin' out all over, thanks to the enormous burst
of energy released as aggressive Mars in Aries, the fire sign it rules, favors
expansive Jupiter in Sagittarius, the fire sign it rules. Passions erupt all over
the place, as does the desire to “just do it.” Sweet Venus blows off
her domestic-goddess persona when she gets to regal Leo, the third of the fire
signs, on the 5th. Prepare for five weeks of romance, drama and extravagant gestures.
Speaking of extravagance, be careful what you agree to while the eclectic Gemini
sun opposes effusive Jupiter that day. Way too much of way too many good things.

Aries

It's not your good looks or your courageous opinions; nevertheless, something
about you personally is attracting big money. Whatever the appeal, make sure you
don't blow the opportunity that presents itself when your Mars ruler in
your sign perfects a once-every-12-year trine with magnanimous Jupiter in Sagittarius.
Otherwise, you'll have to wait until January 2019, and we all know an impatient
Aries can't do that. Besides, you've had plenty of time to figure
out what the next entry on your resume should be.

Taurus

Well, maybe not everything will change when your Venus ruler abandons the coziness
of Cancer for the exhibitionist tendencies of Leo on the 5th. Perhaps you'll
simply become obsessed with your hair or start purring when you're pleased.
You can, however, expect to let loose with a few terrifying roars. If suddenly
you're spending like the host or hostess with the mostest, don't blame
leonine generosity. Blame the challenging opposition between the sun in your Gemini
money house and Jupiter's preference for bigger-is-better.

Gemini

Even if it is your birthday, it's your partner, not you, who commands center
stage this week. That's because expansive Jupiter in your Sagittarius marriage
house is busy offering either legitimate opportunities or paid-for favors to your
colleagues, casual acquaintances and anyone else the giant planet can reach out
to. Jupiter also has its eye on the Gemini sun, an opposition that leads to major
expenditures and significant overages. “Waste not, want not” has no
place in the program. You may as well sit back and enjoy the show.

Cancer

Be sure to make the most of whatever pleasurable moments come your way this weekend.
On Tuesday, popular Venus vacates Cancer for the song-and-dance routines that
entertainment-oriented Leo prefers. Not that the affection won't be sincere,
but while the goddess passes through your house of assets and values, expressing
your love could cost the devoted Crab the proverbial arm and a leg. During its
visit to Leo, Venus traditionally chooses dramatic gold baubles instead of silver
keepsakes, expensive restaurants over memorable home-cooked meals. Cope.

Leo

The tenor of the times may seem more social, even more harmonious, after Venus
enters Leo on the 5th. Having the gentle arbiter of good taste in your sign can
soothe the Lion's savage breast, at least for as long as the transit lasts,
i.e., July 13. However, you might not be able to resist the encouraging words
or over-the-top promises Jupiter heaps on you when the giant planet opposes your
sun ruler this week. What you choose to spend your money on is your decision;
my advice is to set reasonable limits.

Virgo

Nervous time, again. For a change, the cause of any possible anxiety you may be
feeling is out of your hands. Blame the problem on the multifaceted Gemini sun
in your career midheaven, where your reputation is being forged, and grandiose
Jupiter in Sagittarius, nestled in the basement/psyche of your solar chart, for
opposing each other. Perhaps inventive Uranus in your Pisces house of partners
could relieve the tightness in your chest by coming up with a state-of-the-art
solution? Plead prettily.

Libra

The strain put on you by a woman or an artist you'd like to get closer to
eases once your Venus ruler leaves maternal Cancer on the 5th for fiery Leo. For
the next five weeks, you'll be encouraged to strut your stuff, impressing
your fellow professionals and well-heeled folks who share a common interest. Meanwhile,
that enterprising partner of yours could pull off a major coup when Mars in your
Aries marriage house forms a rewarding trine with free-spending Jupiter in Sagittarius,
another fire sign with whom you get along famously.

Scorpio

Instead of focusing on the powerful patriarch (Saturn in your Leo midheaven),
why not shift your attention to the woman behind the throne? It'll only
last for the five weeks that Venus spends at the top of your chart, but compared
to dealing with the old man, interaction with the goddess should be a piece of
very tasty cake. Some demands will be placed on you, but nothing you can't
or won't want to handle. This week you can watch the budget breaking before
your eyes when the Gemini sun and Jupiter perfect their expensive polarity.

Sagittarius

Some signs aren't very comfortable dealing with wretched excess; they actually
feel better watching their bankroll dwindle or, if they are inveterate gamblers,
grow a little bit fatter. Not you. As your prosperous Jupiter ruler absorbs the
full blast of light from the thought-provoking Gemini sun, the Seer gets to see
an expanded vision of the future and what your place in it could be. Not until
2019, when Jupiter again transits Sag, will you have this terrific an opportunity
to realize just how brilliant, how creative, you could be if and when you can't
procrastinate any longer.

Capricorn

It might not be obvious from the git-go, but there's a chance that Venus'
exit from your Cancer complement on Tuesday could deflect your partner's
attention (let's not even consider his or her affection) from you. Nevertheless,
the good news is, not for long. While she's passing through Leo, Venus will
try to charm the pants off your Saturn ruler, if not every day of her five-week
transit, certainly during the last week of June and the first week of July, when
these cosmic forces are dancing cheek to cheek. Plan accordingly.

Aquarius

“Think globally, act locally” is especially relevant this week. Energetic
Mars in your Aries house of neighbors (and the Net) forms a relatively rare, eminently
rewarding trine with ethical Jupiter in your Sagittarius house of social and political
objectives, the arena that Aquarius traditionally governs. This configuration
won't reoccur for another 12 years, so now would be a good time to direct
your efforts toward moving one of your goals closer to completion. Happy to say,
you'll have help. Attractive, affectionate Venus enters your Leo partnership
house on the 5th.

Pisces

Like Virgo, you could also be under undue pressure generated by the opposition
between the Gemini sun and Jupiter in Sagittarius. Simply because Pisces is one
of the four mutable signs, Fish might find themselves in the middle of whatever
difficulties the two largest bodies in our solar system are stressing. Because
this particular aspect won't occur again for another 12 years, you'd
best rise to the challenge and treat it as an opportunity for significant growth,
just as having fortunate Jupiter in your career midheaven would indicate.
