The term Blue Moon refers to the second full moon in one month
or the fourth in one season, a phenomenon that occurs every two and a half to
three years. The full moon on May 31 at 10+ Sagittarius is one of those celestial
events, so prepare to celebrate in true Sag party animal style. If there's
a way to extend the Memorial Day holiday, by all means go for it. Memorial Day
is significant itself because Mercury switches signs from Gemini, where it's
been busy disseminating information, to Cancer, the intuitive, compassionate water
sign that relies more on what the heart says than the mouth. Mercury will be retrograde
from June 15 until July 9th, at which point, 2 degrees of Cancer, it starts retracing
its steps until finally on August 4, the Messenger moves on to Leo. FYI: Mercury
hits 2 Cancer on Wednesday, May 30. We're in for a long, hot summer.

Aries

Just how blissful “domestic bliss” will be depends on what happens
while Mercury is in Cancer, the sign in which your family tree took root. Rams
have until early August, which is when the Messenger moves on to Leo, to track
the development of an issue raised by a relative and resolve it. But for the time
being, good news delivered around the Blue Moon on the 31st could become the justification
for extending your vacation or adding more dates to your summer tour. Not to mention
having a lot more fun, more money, too.

Taurus

Your concern about a current career matter may seem like it's already been
tabled. That's because idealistic Neptune, nebulous at best, is in retrograde
and won't face forward again until Halloween. Between now and then would
be an excellent time to retrieve a project, the more visual the better, that's
been filed away and see if it's time has finally come. Relevance is relative;
what failed to float when first introduced might gather momentum while Mercury,
the communicator, drifts back and forth through Cancer for the next ten weeks.

Gemini

One of the advantages of being an up-to-date, well-connected Gemini is getting
a taste from your Mercury ruler of what's going on a week or so before the
sun confirms your suspicions. This perk could be particularly useful as you prepare
to celebrate yet another birthday. Right about now it might help to know that,
instead of its typical three-week sojourn, Mercury will meander through your Cancer
house of assets until August 4, long after the sun has finished its transit. If
a money matter can't be resolved quickly, that may be why.

Cancer

Mercury's upcoming retrograde (June 15-July 9) will affect everyone, but
because it occurs in your sign, Moon Children should prepare themselves for the
ensuing snafus. Starting on Memorial Day remind yourself to keep track of all
the paperwork, e.g., messages, notes, receipts, confirmation codes, that'll
pile up before Mercury exits on August 4. If the shit does fly, those scraps could
be your first line of defense. But at the moment, the full moon in your work zone
points to a bigger, more prestigious assignment than you anticipated.

Leo

Not quite as rare as a blue moon, but not frequent enough to take for granted.
What is it? The full moon on the 31st in your Sagittarius house of romance and
recreation, an annual phenomenon reinforcing your belief that summer should be
dedicated to having fun. Verify your plans fairly soon, before Mercury turns retrograde,
mixes up reservations and misplaces tickets. To help put you and keep you in the
mood for love, Venus will be in Leo from the first week in June until mid-July.
Need more spending money? Apply by the 5th.

Virgo

At the moment the Virgin may be riding the crest of a wave bound for shore, one
that will get you there eventually. However, because your Mercury ruler is cruising
through cautious Cancer for the next ten weeks, you might want to have water wings
on hand to keep you afloat in the interim. Mercury's three-week retrograde
trip down memory lane occurs in the area of your chart where colleagues, social
circles and political groups congregate. Despite impending delays, misunderstandings
and revisions, you'd best go with the flow.

Libra

As long as friendly overtures are still being extended, i.e., as long as your
Venus ruler is in your Cancer midheaven, accept them. Although some invitations
may come with an unwritten set of rules or conflict with another date, it doesn't
matter. Once Venus enters Leo on June 5th, the aftermath of attending these events
can be more rewarding and more entertaining than expected. Meanwhile your partner,
instead of shooting from the hip, might be methodically lining up influential
backing for your project. Good deal.

Scorpio

The pressure to reach a decision about a nebulous situation at home should abate
now that Neptune is retrograde. With one less thing to worry about, concentrate
for the next few weeks on getting a moneymaking enterprise off the ground. It's
been decades since your energetic Mars co-ruler was favorably aligned with generous
Jupiter in your Sag house of assets as well as the power structure represented
by Saturn in Leo at the top of your chart. So please, don't scorn the benefits
offered during this rare Grand Fire Trine.

Sagittarius

A Blue Moon is a special occasion, no matter when or in which sign it occurs.
However, since that sign is Sagittarius, then you might feel compelled by the
cosmos to celebrate the event: Thursday, the 31st, preferably after work but before
bedtime. If the Centaur is truly the party animal you purport to be, you'll
keep the celebration going over the weekend or until the Gemini sun illuminates
your traits as well as your dubious talents while it opposes your wise-cracking
Jupiter ruler on June 5th. // These are the high times, friend. Enjoy.

Capricorn

If patience is the key to heaven, then Caps who manage to endure Mercury's
long and winding road trip through your Cancer complement should consider getting
fitted for their wings. Memorial Day marks the beginning of the transit, August
4th the end. In between these dates, you'll be asked to follow the tortuous
path of assertions, retractions and corrections that a partner will lead you on.
Accomplish this with grace, wit and equanimity and you could be rewarded in mid-August
by your well-compensated Saturn ruler.

Aquarius

In their own inimitable way, every sign will have to deal with Mercury turning
retrograde in mid-June, but because the flip out occurs in Cancer, in your house
of work, debts and household pets, Aquarians should take the necessary precautions
now. Make sure that Spot gets his shots, and if there's a problem with a
co-worker or the union, try to resolve it before the long retrogression turns
into the endless summer. Remember, however, to take time to enjoy the blessings
and beauty Venus brings while she occupies your marriage house.

Pisces

Blue moons are significant enough events, but when they take place at the top
of your chart, in your Sagittarius house of achievement, you really should pay
attention to what happens on the 31st as well as over the next few days. Although
it's easy to pooh-pooh the importance of this particular phenomenon, it's
not so easy to live up to its expectations. This week is when you may realize
what having the moon (representing the public) in your midheaven implies and how
public opinion can influence a decision about your career.
