An unexpected, unexplainable “love at first sight”
vibe that Venus occasionally throws at us is still with us. Despite a momentary
desire to play it safe, the goddess, when challenged by optimistic Jupiter, goes
for broke on Saturday. Broken could be the operative word while Mars bumps into
unpredictable Uranus Saturday night. Their biannual conjunction often leads to
big trouble; be careful. Sweet sentiments on Monday as Venus and Neptune form
a romantic trine, which is what you want for May Day festivities and the sensuous
Taurus-Scorpio full moon.

Aries

The trick for getting through the next few days unscathed is to keep your head
while all around are losing theirs. Nothing in astrology can be quite as upsetting
as a Mars-Uranus conjunction, just like the one you experienced last weekend.
But because Mars is your ruling planet, you know better than most how to control
both the sudden outbursts and the surges of pure physical energy, e.g., go for
a longer run. Or launch another project while you're able to tap into Jupiter's
ability to glimpse into the future.

Taurus

The full moon on the 2nd, in your Scorpio house of marriageable and business partners,
signals that a matter dear to the heart of both parties is coming to fruition.
Since this promise of emotional satisfaction comes around only once a year, don't
squander an opportunity to express how you feel. Mercury in Taurus provides the
appropriate words, while your Venus ruler lends grace and charm to whatever those
words turn out to be. Also, a thoughtful present, nothing ostentatious, couldn't
hurt.

Gemini

One of the advantages of being a Gemini is knowing that whatever choice you make
can always be adjusted to reflect your latest take on a situation. Remind yourself
of this if you have to deal with a boss who's gone bonkers. Madness or utter
unpredictability could be the outcome of the meeting in your Pisces midheaven
between brusque Mars and unruly Uranus. Since peace-seeking Venus is currently
in your sign, you're likely to get too close to the disturbance for comfort.
If so, back off, re-evaluate your options.

Cancer

Consider early May as an extended holiday. Start with a twirl around the Maypole
on May Day, continue with a suitably sensational celebration of the sexy Scorpio
full moon taking place in your house of romance and recreation on the 2nd, then
zero in on a variety of Cinco de Mayo events, which seem to start earlier and
last longer than ever before. The one event to keep clear of is an accident in
the making if Mars crashes into Uranus while they transit Pisces. However, because
the conjunction is in a water sign, Crabs can scurry away.

Leo

Some Lions will see a breakthrough in a joint financial matter; others might experience
the Mars-Uranus conjunction as an adjustment in a relationship that was long overdue.
The entertainers and entrepreneurs among you could come up with a novel idea that'll
pay off sooner than anticipated. You're all facing a fairly wild and wooly
couple of weeks, filled with hard work, but also plenty of commendations to do
you proud. This is what happens when your sun ruler transits productive Taurus,
the top spot in your solar chart.

Virgo

Be judicious in your choices right now. Solar Taurus provides a powerful reinforcement
of practical earth energy, possibly more than a discriminating Virgo needs. Too
many ideas and incentives to accomplish your goal may be confusing as well as
exhausting. So take a moment and a deep breath to sift and sort when your Mercury
ruler conjoins the sun on May 2. The joyous full moon earlier that day is another
reason to pause to see how far you've come since the new moon on April 17.
What needs more attention, what doesn't?

Libra

The varieties of romantic experience may have shorter life spans than you anticipate.
Think, then blame your Venus ruler for provoking a bunch of planets and arousing
the people these planets rule. A quickie encounter with Aquarius or Pisces could
send you running to a Capricorn or kindhearted Leo for comfort. Hanging with a
Sagittarius is usually fun, but right now that date might cost more than you wanted
to spend. Venus saves the best, the most intense, exchange for the Cinco de Mayo
weekend by attracting a soulful Scorpio.

Scorpio

No matter what else is going on, while the sun travels through your Taurus marriage
house, you can't help but become more involved with present and former significant
others. Whether you factor into their day-to-day doings depends on your reaction
if, for example, Jupiter offers an easy opportunity to supply your child or lover
with a must-have state-of-the-art plaything. However, during the Scorpio full
moon, their attention will naturally turn to you. If there's something you
want, this would be the time to ask.

Sagittarius

The productivity associated with Taurus might even rub off on a Centaur with a
predilection for procrastination. No kidding. Watch how eagerly you take up a
task that you normally would avoid or at least postpone for as long as possible.
Is it to get somewhere outside the line of fire the relatives and/or the realtor
have created? A touch too much disruptive activity at home can upset the equanimity
you've gone to such lengths to maintain. However, when bombastic Mars moves
out of Pisces midmonth, that racket should stop.

Capricorn

Friction, rampant this week, is to be avoided at all costs. And this is something
you can do by ignoring whatever your co-workers are demanding. Your refusal to
pay any more dues, to work harder than you already have, may have an effect in
the astral world, e.g., your karma could suffer. But for now, you'll be
better off letting the cantankerous throw their little fits, which, patient person
that you are, you know will blow over. Meanwhile, there are all those sensual
Taurus vibes that need to be integrated into your daily life.

Aquarius

You've dealt with an erratic flow of income before, but this week, the situation
could become a lot more irritating. While tough-guy Mars brushes up against your
independent Uranus ruler, the natural reaction is to lash out. Try to keep your
temper in check; control the Warrior's impulse to slash and burn everything
(and everyone) in sight. Because, after Mars moves out of your money house on
the 15th, you may have to find your way back across the bridge that got burned.
Ask a colleague, your mate, preferably both, for advice.

Pisces

Every now and then, the Fish drifts too close to a dangerous situation for your
own safety. Sometimes you're pushed there; other times, consumed by your
own thoughts, you neglect to notice where you're headed. Although no one
can be sure what'll happen when Mars joins forces with unruly Uranus, since
the “disastrous” conjunction takes place in your sign, we're
hoping you have a sense of what we're all in for. The way around your personal
problem is to be inventive, to think as far outside your usual box as you can.
