Note to readers: It just wasn't in the stars – there is no new horoscope this week. Rockie will return next week, and the daily updates will continue to appear normally. Last week's horoscope appears below.

Aries

A powerhouse of a year for an ambitious Aries. Your Mars ruler's bi-annual
meeting with “cut the crap” Pluto next weekend doubles your determination
to get your own way. During February, Mars in Capricorn, the sign of the successful
executive, can propel your reputation to new heights. Come spring, the red planet
zeros in on your personal life and physical well-being. Prosperous Jupiter provides
growth through mind-expanding travels and fateful encounters – a new guru?
Later for the frivolous playmates, a romance grows serious.

Taurus

Bulls become even more involved with other people's money; however, this
year Jupiter's foresight can protect your joint financial arrangements.
And while sex might not be any better, there's likely to be more of it.
Mind-fucking, too. The main issues are still generated by stern Saturn in your
zone of real estate and family affairs. Although your career might not take off
dramatically, the more idealistic or artistic your work, the more people will
relate. Social life blossoms in spring; complications during the summer.

Gemini

Mark your calendar: In 2007 your Mercury ruler turns retrograde on February 13,
June 15 and October 11. Each period lasts a little over three weeks; however,
you'll need some days to prepare and recover. Since nothing new begins then,
why not visit old friends, schedule a real vacation or try rewriting the script?
Especially loving interludes during April, again in November; but the true blessings
come from wealthy and wise Jupiter inhabiting Sagittarius, home to your marriage
and business partners, for the first time in 12 years.

Cancer

Work and money, money and work. Better opportunities to expand your job description;
better organized, long-range strategies concerning finances. Take a chunk of time
off while Mercury is retrograde for your birthday, ditto during December when
usually active Mars treads water in your sign. Happy days in May as lovable Venus
feathers her nest in Cancer for the month. Socially speaking, December looks promising
as well. The two total lunar eclipses on March 3 and August 28 are best viewed
anywhere but here. Why not Africa or Australia?

Leo

Almost everything will seem easier this year thanks to free-wheeling Jupiter in
Sagittarius, the fire sign you're most compatible with. The fact that the
jolly giant is in your house of creativity, games and romance is the grease that'll
spins those wheels. Especially the wheel of fortune. Even if some Lions have to
deal with stringent Saturn in Leo until Labor Day, lucky Jupiter is happy to provide
compensation. Its wit and wealth also helps you fulfill a partner's fantasies
during Easter week, and again for Halloween.

Virgo

Read Gemini for your Mercury ruler's annual retrograde schedule and jot
down the dates when trivial things can mean a lot. The Virgo full-moon eclipse
on March 3 could affect your emotional well-being; so might the Virgo new-moon
eclipse on September 11. Venus chooses your sign for her long, lingering retrogression:
July 14 to November 8, with time off in September. But that's when Saturn
begins its two-year trek through Virgo, where the taskmaster will offer lessons
in patience, consistency or respectability you weren't aware were necessary.

Libra

So much for the legendary summer romance. While your Venus ruler is retrograde
– July 14 to September 8 – your social life could suck. Or you might
hook up with someone from your distant past; during retrograde, relationships
can go either way. November is terrific for attracting people to your favorite
cause, but for the hottest time one-on-one, these first two months, while affectionate
Venus meets up with passionate Mars, is prime time. And if your new love interest
is an Aquarius, the odds that it'll last improve. P.S. More money, more
easily obtained.

Scorpio

Ignore the downgrade; Pluto continues its role as your co-ruling “planet.”
This year, because its orbit barely budges from the Galactic Center of the Milky
Way, Pluto's power to transform you, and the rest of the world, is truly
cosmic. Status-savvy Saturn, still dominating your Leo midheaven, offers access
to the executive elite. Use it before you lose it. Generous Jupiter in your Sag
money house provides more dough-re-mi to insure that this Valentine's Day,
when loving Venus is in your house of romance, is memorable.

Sagittarius

It bears repeating. For the first time in 12 years, your beneficent Jupiter ruler
is in Sagittarius, retrograde, i.e., less active from early April to early August.
Take the vacation of your dreams, go on hiatus during retrograde; launch a new
enterprise, expand your network, polish your personal image while the god of good
fortune moves forward. Saturn in fire-friendly Leo offers stability if you step
beyond the range of possibilities, expanded though they may be. February through
June is your season for making whoopee!

Capricorn

Mutual money matters (ours and theirs) that have been stalled for far too long
(two years?) should move forward once your Saturn ruler leaves stubborn Leo for
adaptable Virgo around Labor Day. Mid-December is when lucky Jupiter enters Capricorn
and begins laying on its many gifts: prosperity, health, happiness. However, energetic
Mars, working at full capacity (exalted in Capricorn) right now, urges you to
take action before March. That's when a young or a horny old Goat's
thoughts turn to love. July, too.

Aquarius

What makes this year different from last year are the advantages bestowed by protective
Jupiter in your house of business associates, club members and fellow sociopolitical
travelers. You won't have to ask to receive. However, the loftier your ideals
are, the greater the payoffs – spiritually, philosophically and, yes, monetarily.
More good news: Restrictive Saturn finally leaves Leo, the sign of your cosmic
“other,” in September. Fanciful Neptune in your sign starts its summer
break in June – you do the same.

Pisces

Who knew your career was going to be so much more rewarding or that your reputation
in the community would improve? The Fish is a very social being this year, primarily
because generous Jupiter in benefit-bound Sagittarius reigns from the top of your
solar chart. Except for strict Saturn entering Virgo, the sign governing your
partnership experiences in September, the other areas of your life pretty much
stay the same. Venus attracts lovers in February; Mars jacks up your sex drive
in April. Mercury is in Pisces from 2/2 until 4/10, some of it in retrograde.
