November ends not with a whimper, but in a blaze of glory as
the fiery sun and enthusiastic Jupiter enter Sagittarius, the last of the heartfelt
fire signs. However, there may still be a bang over the weekend as Venus, already
partying with the Centaurs, upsets explosive Uranus. Chances are romantic relationships
will break up rather than real estate. Conflicting signals on Monday as Mercury
makes its third and final square to illusory, faith-based Neptune; the first occurred
on October 15, the second on Election Day. Later that evening, militant Mars and
executive Saturn, the two “malefics,” form a difficult square in fixed
signs. The next time these planets interact will be via a favorable trine in fire
signs on January 8. When does the new Congress convene?

Aries

It's one thing to get through a long, drawn-out holiday meal without incident;
it's another to get through the entire weekend without encountering an obstacle
you want to obliterate. So goes the challenging square between your hot-tempered
Mars ruler and restrictive Saturn. That Saturn is embedded in your house of romance
and recreation suggests that action in either of those arenas won't be much
fun. Perhaps you'll have to take responsibility for a child's bad
behavior or cover for a teammate. Perhaps you'll be the one who gets hurt.

Taurus

Steel yourself for another run-in with the fickle finger of fate. Flirt that you
are, whenever your romantic Venus ruler is squared by erratic Uranus, an occasion
arises that questions the advantages of a one-on-one relationship. This temptation
might serve as the straw that breaks up that relationship. So think long and hard
before you sacrifice the bird in your hand for a hot time with one or two in the
bush. Remember: One never knows who'll show up during a Thanksgiving reunion
or what sort of sparks will be reignited.

Gemini

Charity may begin at home, but this week those heartfelt sentiments could transport
you to a soup kitchen where you'll gladly help feed the hungry. While a
few of the powerful planets congregating on the Scorpio-Sagittarius cusp are focused
on fortifying close relationships, the other planets are fostering your sense
of (selfless) service. All things considered, this Thanksgiving you should have
lots to be grateful for. And, after generous Jupiter spends the next 12 months
in your Sagittarius marriage house, there should be even more.

Cancer

Thanksgiving comes tightly wrapped in a paternal Capricorn lunar vibe, a fitting
complement to the maternal Cancerian emphasis on family life. Nurturing body,
soul and spirit is your cosmic assignment, so no matter whom you spend the holiday
with, make sure you discharge your duty to everyone at the table, the brats as
well as the beloved. How much will this cost? Since impulsive Mars is about to
launch an attack on conservative Saturn in your money house, probably more than
you intend to spend. Go ahead anyway; it won't hurt for long.

Leo

The party began with sociable Venus' entrance into Sagittarius; it got better
after the sun went into this compatible fire sign. Once jolly Jupiter crosses
over on Thanksgiving, the laughs and libations will flow throughout the entire
holiday season, and then some. Since the wise Centaur governs the Lion's
romantic and recreational activities, you can look forward to receiving more affection
and exploring of creative outlets than you've had easy access to since the
last time expansive Jupiter spent 12 months in Sag, 12 years ago.

Virgo

Watch out for hanky-panky, particularly while seductive Venus tests to what extent
madcap Uranus in your marriage house will respond to her advances. Whether you
find these antics amusing or threatening depends in part on who is doing what
with whom, e.g., your mate flirting with your cute little cousin, or an in-law
coming on like gangbusters? Or is the culprit a neighbor? Meanwhile, because your
Mercury ruler is once again under the influence of impressionable Neptune, you're
liable to swallow any juicy bit of gossip you hear.

Libra

While giving thanks for the sacrificial bird, you may also be grateful for the
fact that Librans and Sagittarians get along so splendidly. During this holiday,
there'll be good reasons to relish the friendship you have with the Seers
and come to appreciate the sense of freedom and limitless possibilities that the
Sagittarian sun is only too glad to share with the Scales. Also, during the next
12 months, you can benefit royally from the opportunities growth-oriented Jupiter
offers, e.g., for some, a substantial increase in income; for others, a wider
audience.

Scorpio

This time of year, while other signs are planning holiday trips and winter vacations,
many Scorpions are busily at work, raking in their highest profits of the year.
There's not much you can do about Sagittarius ruling your money house, nor
can you ignore the influx of positive planets to that enthusiastic sign. At the
moment, artistic Venus and the life-giving sun are in Sag; as of Thursday night,
prosperous Jupiter will be there as well. And, in the first week of December,
your Mars co-ruler and clever Mercury will join the crowd. Anybody else smell
money?

Sagittarius

An abundance of riches as you come to realize that having lovable Venus in your
sign is making you more popular, that the Sagittarius sun is shedding light on
personal stuff you haven't paid sufficient attention to, and that the presence
of your Jupiter ruler in your sign, as of Thanksgiving night, will bring opportunities
and benefits you haven't enjoyed for years. Think back to 1995 to get a
sense of what kind of goodies will be coming your way over the next 12 months.
And while you're at it, make a pre-birthday wish or two.

Capricorn

At the end of a festive holiday weekend with family and/or friends, as they all
head back to their respective quarters, is when the fight ignited by macho Mars'
challenge to your “play it safe” Saturn ruler occurs. Because Saturn
is in your house of inheritance, insurance and other financial matters involving
other people, there's a good chance that one of those topics will cause
the flare-up. The square aspect between the two “tough guy” planets
also suggests that men will be both the instigators and the defenders.

Aquarius

This holiday season, Water-Bearers have an unusual amount of planetary energy
crowding their house of career achievement and recognition, and nothing in their
house of recreation and romance. So much for having fun in the sun or the snow.
Nonetheless, a measure of success, no matter when it shows up, shouldn't
be sneezed at. In the midst of the congratulations and celebrations, keep an eye
out for a woman or an artist who, with no obvious malice aforethought, tests your
ability to improvise a solution, to think on your happy feet.

Pisces

As more and more planets enter Sagittarius, the sign at the top of your solar
chart, you'll have more opportunities to show the world outside your immediate
circle what you are capable of. The first chance arrives this weekend as charming,
sociable Venus tries to provoke a response from inventive Uranus in Pisces. It's
your originality, your unique take on a situation, that'll make an indelible
impression on others, significant and not so. Your own inimitable romantic tendencies
also come into play as the month ends.
