If you know your ascendant, read it too.

GENERAL FORECAST: Jupiter’s optimism and enthusiasm infuses the atmosphere all weekend long. Start rubbing your good luck charm Thursday when the Virgo sun and the giant planet form their rewarding trine. Saturday’s Jupiter-ruled, sports-loving Sagittarius moon continues through Sunday, which is when athletic Mars and knowledgeable Mercury test Jupiter’s winning ways. Sunday is the red-letter day that Jupiter turns direct after four-month retrograde in Capricorn. On Monday, under a Capricorn moon, Jupiter and Saturn perfect the second of their mutually supportive trines. Later that evening, Pluto, retrograde since April 2, turns direct. Over-the-top celebrating during the Venus-Jupiter square on Tuesday. True love when Venus and Mars meet in Libra on 9/11?

ARIES (March 20–April 19)

Opportunities like this don’t come around very often, which is why you’d better not downplay the way you feel when your hot-blooded Mars ruler merges with loving Venus in your Libra marriage house on 9/11. Not only does the cycle that began around Halloween 2006 reach some sort of conclusion, the next tour Mars takes through the zodiac should get off to a propitious start. Since what develops during the two-year circumnavigation can be shaped by what happens this week, take a moment to visualize the kind of relationship you want and with whom.

TAURUS (April 20–May 20)

While it might not be as monumental an event for you as it is for your Aries neighbor, the marriage of your Venus ruler and horny Mars can still be memorable, especially for Bulls born in May. But if a torrid romance isn’t what you need right now, perhaps the rewarding connection between prosperous Jupiter and productive Saturn will be as good for your reputation as it will for Capricorn and Virgo, the other earth signs. If you’re looking for divine or artistic inspiration, wait under the light of the Harvest full moon.

GEMINI (May 21–June 20)

Since your Mercury ruler has been paving the way for its retrograde session in couple-conscious Libra, pay close attention to what occurs in the weeks before the Messenger flips into reverse on the 24th. These are the issues that will need to be reviewed and revised during the three-week retrogression. But rather than spend time preparing for a future that may or may not happen, try to stay in the present long enough to adapt to the changes you see coming during the sun’s opposition to inventive Uranus in your career zone.

CANCER (June 21–July 22)

While you and your Gemini neighbors are not on the same track, Crabs could still be vulnerable to the vagaries of changeable Uranus, especially during the days leading up to the Pisces full moon mid-month. If there’s a trip or a class in the works, keep checking the arrangements and, should those plans fall through, leave time to make adjustments. The anticipated rewards of a successful partnership venture might not flow with ease because lucky Jupiter, retrograde since May, doesn’t face forward in your Capricorn complement until the 7th.

LEO (July 23–August 22)

Not every sign will come as close to the edge as you when your sun ruler in your Virgo money house confronts disruptive Uranus. However, a cautious Lion with assets at stake might get help from Crabs and Twins who are also affected. Throw in an odd Fish and a tech-savvy Virgin and you’ll have a ready-made support group searching for resources to stabilize the situation. Just don’t insist on a quick fix; it may take until the Harvest full moon is on the wane before you feel reassured that the cavalry is well on its way.

VIRGO (August 23–September 22)

Brace yourself for a surprise. Despite having easier access to “the finer things” you may be offered while your Mercury ruler is tight with appreciative, amenable Venus, you’re liable to be left in the lurch when the sun in your sign is opposed by unpredictable Uranus in your partnership zone. This is an annual astrological event, so think back to last September for a clue to what might arise to thwart your plans. If you can’t come up with an alternative, there’s always the possibility that significant others are planning a party.

LIBRA (September 23–October 22)

It can’t be emphasized enough! While your desirable Venus ruler conjuncts sexy Mars in your sign, the person you’re attracted to, and the one attracted to you, could qualify as marriage material. Seriously! No astrological aspect indicates emotional and sexual compatibility more than the merger of the feminine and the masculine principles. Plus, in Libra, there’s an inherent balance you won’t find in most other signs. Mercury’s conjunction with Venus on the 14th should help you express your feelings about, and to, your prize.

SCORPIO (October 23–November 21)

Good news! Your Pluto co-ruler comes of retrograde motion on the 8th after five months spent reassessing and realigning your financial concerns. Better news! Your lusty Mars co-ruler is being embraced by loving Venus, so your advances will not be denied, not while this classic couple hook up in charming, civilized Libra. However, a friendship you’ve been developing could unravel when the “I did the research” Virgo sun is thrown into disarray during its opposition to wild card Uranus and the emotional Pisces full moon.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22–December 21)

Questions about where you’ll be living and with whom you’ll be working may come to a head during the Virgo-Pisces full moon. Since mutable signs like ours often find it easier to adapt to the latest change than make a last-ditch stand or maintain the status quo, our advice: Let it go. However, since fluctuating Uranus will remain in fluid Pisces for another two years, we’re liable to encounter similar challenges. That is, unless Archers get really rich picking winning lottery numbers when lucky Venus and our Jupiter ruler align on 9/9.

CAPRICORN (December 22–January 20)

Thumbs up so far. Until Mercury turns retrograde in your Libra career house on the 24th, the prognosis for September looks good. You could be enticed to test your luck this week, but nothing ventured means nothing gained, and with prosperous Jupiter in your sign, the gains are likely to be significant. There’s also a good chance that the merger of macho Mars and vivacious Venus will introduce an exciting element, possibly a romance, to the conference room, classroom or community center when you’re hanging out.

AQUARIUS (January 21–February 18)

The power of positive thinking! Use it. Because your rebellious Uranus ruler is a dominant force in the days leading up to the Harvest moon, check to make sure that what you’re advocating won’t land you in hot water. It’s not just the usual authority figures who may get pissed off. While the data-driven Virgo sun opposes Uranus in your Pisces house of assets, the people signing the checks can impact your financial future. Artists, performers and humanitarians fare better than entrepreneurs and worker bees.

PISCES (February 19–March 19)

If you don’t explode when the nit-picking Virgo sun in your partnership house challenges original Uranus in your sign on the 12th, there’s a good chance you’ll get through the Pisces full moon experience on the 15th with fingers and fins intact. These are challenging times for Fish who are especially eager for the future they envision to begin. A demonstration of that faith may be called for around the 17th when you and your Neptune ruler are the recipients of Venus’ affection and appreciation of artistic talent.
