Nov. 2 – 8, 2007
An in-between sort of week as we adjust to Mercury's shift
out of retrograde on the 1st and Venus' shift into Libra on the 8th. A burst
of energy on Sunday as the Scorpio sun trines Mars in domesticated Cancer, the
last surge we'll see, because Mars flips into reverse on the 15th, not to
face forward again until January 30. Get ready for a long family trip down memory
lane.

Aries

It might seem as if things have stalled, a condition you could normally attribute
to Mercury's change of direction on November 1. But more likely it's
because your Mars ruler is marking time before it comes to a complete standstill
and turns retrograde on November 15 at 12 Cancer, the degree it's at now.
This family-centric trip down memory lane lasts until January 30, by which time
the Warrior will have you schmoozing with school chums or reprising scenes you
acted out with a neighbor or sibling back in September.

Taurus

Beware the green-eyed monster! Even sweet-tempered Bulls may find that for one
day this week, they are crazed with jealousy. If you're blowing something
totally out of proportion or consumed with an urge to do serious damage, simply
blame suspicious Pluto for challenging your romantic Venus ruler. That power-hungry
Pluto is in your house of sexual desire and Venus is happily at play in the recreational
zone only compounds the intensity of their testy square. Fresh energy from the
Scorpio new moon is your escape valve.

Gemini

Read for Taurus. You're not immune from the eruption of deep-seated emotions
that may rise (as from a dead sleep) when loving Venus is at odds with demanding
Pluto in your Sagittarius house of partners. Give the ruckus a day or two to subside;
by then, Venus will have moved on to harmonious Libra and you won't have
to pay that piper. Further shifts in attitude and atmosphere arrive during the
Scorpio new moon and your Mercury ruler's return to that sign and whatever
you were into before the Messenger went retrograde on October 11.

Cancer

Moon Children need to sit back and take stock of what's been accomplished
since the Libra new moon, plus what needs to be finished before the Scorpio new
moon on November 9 initiates an entirely new agenda. Has Mercury's turnaround
brought you completely up to date or is important data still missing? If need
be, give your sources a gentle nudge; time is running out. More than any other
time of the year, it's the Scorpio lunar event that zooms in on your recreational
and romantic pursuits, so that's the direction in which you should head.

Leo

An opportunity to attain domestic bliss might elude you if you aren't protective
of your family's reputation and their traditions. While militant Mars in
your house of friends is on favorable terms with your sun ruler, you might as
well notify the troops and stock the larder. You could be in for a longer siege
than expected, because unpredictable Uranus has invited himself and his generous
attitude to the table. So don't be surprised if there's a knock at
your door weeks before the guests are due to show up for the Thanksgiving feast.

Virgo

Let's hope you enjoyed the popularity Venus brought to Virgo, because the
goddess leaving your sign on Thursday may be trailing a juicy scandal in her wake.
Nothing smacks of sexuality more than a Venus-Pluto connection, but when the relationship
is a challenging square, the stink raised can be difficult to diffuse. Nonetheless,
we trust that the Virgin will marshal resources, a colleague here or a plumber
there, and deal with the unpleasantness before your Mercury ruler gets back to
Scorpio and its suspicious frame of mind.

Libra

Magnetic Venus enters your sign with a flourish, a devoted suitor in hot pursuit.
You could inherit a trickier situation than you're willing or equipped to
deal with, so before you accept a casual invitation or an e-mail forwarded from
a friend of a friend, take time to check out the source. There's nothing
inherently dangerous about the matter, but if the Scales confront a jealous or
possessive person, it'll be difficult to maintain any semblance of fairness.
Better to avoid a scene and the unbalanced people involved.

Scorpio

As you pick up the bits and pieces of business left hanging during Mercury's
retrograde trip, try to take some alone time for yourself. An entirely new cycle
begins with the Scorpio new moon on the 9th, one that can clear away old emotional
baggage as well as introduce a fresh, purely personal concern. But if you're
worried about a fragile romance, and don't want it to blow up in your face,
then you'll have to show a modicum of patience, not fiery passion, while
Venus and your Pluto co-ruler test each other's resolve. Happy birthday!

Sagittarius

Some Centaurs like to hole up during the weeks before Sagittarius starts and rest
up for the festivities to come. If this hasn't been your practice, then
the days leading up to the Scorpio new moon on the 9th would be a good time to
prepare for a retreat. Since this ineffable lunar event takes place in your 12th
house of isolation and cosmic service, it makes sense, on many levels, to bow
out for a while. Whether you can accomplish this while jolly Jupiter is still
in your sign is the big question this year.

Capricorn

This month, Goats get to climb the legendary ladder aided and abetted by a female
accomplice with a stake in your success. She can grease the way with invitations
to social events everybody wants to attend; she can also arrange business meetings
you want to attend. But she won't be around for long, so make sure that
you benefit as much as possible from Venus' transit across your Libra midheaven
from November 8 to December 5. But will she fill the role Mars in your Cancer
marriage house abandons when he turns retrograde on November 15?

Aquarius

All this Scorpio activity should energize your career, especially the circumstances
that follow from the new-moon event on the 9th. Make sure you're focused
on what you hope to accomplish and how you'd like to see the chips fall.
Wishing doesn't necessarily make it so, but with mystical Neptune embedded
in your sign, it wouldn't hurt. Mercury returns to Scorpio on the 11th and
reactivates a situation that was in effect at the end of September. That Sunday
might turn into a red-letter day, because the creative Scorpio sun also illuminates
Neptune that evening.

Pisces

Anticipate experiencing an unexpected change for the good when the simpatico Scorpio
sun favors innovative Uranus in your sign on the 7th. Maybe the upswing will be
related to Election Day, maybe it's a purely personal eureka moment. Still,
since Uranus offers originality and independence, make sure you incorporate these
positive features into your future plans. A few days later, when the sun provokes
your impressionable Neptune ruler, it's likely you'll face the first
test of your newly established agenda.
