OCT. 5-11, 2007
So much for “live and let live.” Pleasure-loving
Venus leaves Leo on Sunday for a month's worth of critiques from the Virgin.
Midweek, the Libra new moon initiates an even busier social schedule, but because
Mercury turns retrograde on the 11th, be sure to double-check times, routes and
destinations. Frequently. The Messenger is prepared to mess with our minds, e-mails
and travel arrangements until the Day of the Dead. Drive safe.

Aries

As self-sufficient as the Ram appears to be, during Libra, the sign of your significant
others, your motivation may change as you become more accommodating and open to
suggestion. Although it's difficult to think of the single-minded Aries
as a team player, somehow you manage to recruit folks who are willing to support
your cause. Now is the time to replenish those troops, to forge new alliances
and, because your Mars ruler is in homey Cancer for the first time in two years,
to be prepared to feed them well.

Taurus

Your Venus ruler was in dramatic Leo for so long, its trip through demure Virgo
could take some getting used to. While you might miss the roar of the crowd, the
vibe another earth-friendly sign sends out is much easier to take and more comfortable
for Bulls to live with. Because Virgo governs your house of recreation, risk and
romance, no matter how much work lies ahead, Venus' presence there suggests
that whatever you do could seem like play. However, as the weekend of the 13th
draws near, a casual romance turns serious.

Gemini

If not you, then your partner is in for a surprise when generous Jupiter in your
Sagittarius marriage house receives an offer from eccentric Uranus. How weird
or how wonderful this is depends on how willing you are to make whatever adjustment
the opportunity entails. At the same time, the sociable Libra new moon may introduce
an appealing alternative, pressuring you to make a decision before you've
thought it through. Remember, your Mercury ruler goes retrograde on the 11th.
Over the next three weeks, anything can happen.

Cancer

By October, most signs are well into their autumn routine, busy at work, in school
and at play. However, the Moon Child might still be waiting to learn what the
Libra new moon has up its sleeve. Don't be shocked if your agenda for the
next four weeks centers on the ways and means of achieving domestic bliss, the
area of your solar chart that Libra rules. It makes little difference if you're
fixing up the house or entertaining the extended family, as long as your thoughts
and attention don't stray too far from home.

Leo

Let's hope that the waves of optimism washing over you while your sun ruler
and enthusiastic Jupiter form a favorable sextile don't knock you off your
feet. Although the Libra sun should help you maintain your balance, its trine
to fanciful Neptune in your Aquarius house of partners can make you both a bit
delusional. This supportive aspect is fine if you intend to create beautiful music
together, but since Mercury turns retrograde at that time, you'd be foolish
to take anything you hear or read at face value. Double-check.

Virgo

It's good to be Prince Charming or the Belle of the Ball, but having desirable
Venus in your sign can throw you off-guard. Especially since the radiant goddess
might lose her glow when she brushes up against dour Saturn on the 13th. But once
that encounter is over, your social life shouldn't suffer. Meanwhile, the
Libra new moon on 10/10 can sow the seeds of a new financial matter that'll
develop while your Mercury ruler is retrograde from 10/11 to 11/1. Go slow; the
next three weeks could be filled with contradictions.

Libra

Even if you've already celebrated your birthday, you should still make a
wish on the Libra new moon. The prospect of getting another shot at a fresh start
is not to be sneezed at. However, if you sense that you're about to run
into an authority figure who'll cramp your style, i.e., when your Venus
ruler meets restrictive Saturn in picky Virgo, ask for a painless, practical outcome.
Financial errors are likely to multiply while Mercury is retrograde in your Scorpio
money house; postpone important decisions for the duration.

Scorpio

Yes, Mercury's retrograde trip through your sign could turn out to be a
drag, but as the Messenger backtracks and revisits recent events and decisions,
you might unearth information you needed to know back then, particularly paperwork
you couldn't find. Just make sure that you give yourself plenty of time
(Mercury's last day in Scorpio is December 1) before you rush to judgment
again. Your Mars co-ruler tends to push the “impatient” button, but
you can thank the gods that Pluto is protecting your long-range interests.

Sagittarius

This is the week you can figure out what the past nine months have been leading
up to. As growth-oriented Jupiter in your sign completes the third and final square
to inventive Uranus in chaotic Pisces, the weird moments that occurred in January
and May might finally add up. Seers don't always see the forest or the trees,
especially when our heads are in the clouds or, under the direction of those two
barrier-breaking planets, focusing on the future. Better pay attention to specific
ideas that cross your mind, also detailed visions that pop up.

Capricorn

Picture something fresh and lovely sauntering into your life. Perhaps the Libra
new moon in your career midheaven will introduce a harmonious element, e.g., an
attractive person you work well with or a companion who'll help you navigate
through Mercury's retrogression. Maybe the Libra sun will shed light on
a questionable money matter when it favors foggy Neptune on the 12th. Go ahead
and assume that when affectionate Venus meets up with your Saturn ruler, you'll
feel twice blessed — not only loved, but highly valued.

Aquarius

Mercury turning retrograde in your Scorpio midheaven suggests that an issue concerning
your career or the family's reputation will be decided between now and December.
However, what gets finalized during the third challenging square between “bigger
is better” Jupiter in Sag and your Uranus ruler in your Pisces money house
is yours to know and ours to guess. This future-oriented matter started at the
first square aspect in January, had a major impact on you during the second square
in May, and is about to be concluded.

Pisces

So much for your precious anonymity. The spotlight beckons as effusive Jupiter
in your career midheaven provokes a response from nonconformist Uranus in your
sign for the third and final time this year. If that much attention doesn't
lure you out of the shadows, then the artistic Libra sun's beneficial trine
shining on your Neptune ruler might. But if you manage to evade the vibes these
planets are focusing on you personally, the combination of Venus and Saturn in
your Virgo marriage zone makes a partner's pleas hard to resist.
