SEPT. 14-20, 2007
We're in a lull between the storms that descended on us
last weekend when the Virgo sun squared disruptive Uranus and the ones scheduled
for midweek. Hold on to whatever can't be blown to smithereens when Sol
challenges militant Mars in talkative Gemini two days before the sun tests the
extent of Plutonic decay. Is there no ray of hope on the horizon? Sure, if you
can believe the words coming from Mercury in diplomatic Libra while it supports
imaginative, faith-based Neptune in Aquarius.

Aries

Last weekend, while your Mars ruler reached out to imaginative Neptune, was the
time for the inspiration; now you get prepared for the perspiration. Those precious
beads of sweat could show up by Monday as the disciplined Virgo sun, in your house
of hard work, no less, offers your Mars ruler a challenge you feel you can meet,
an opportunity you can't in good faith turn down. Debate the pros and cons
all you want – after all, Mars is in the sign of the Twins. Here's
a chance to discover how resourceful you are, how versatile you can be.

Taurus

You've got “romantic fool” written all over you. While the sun
continues to inhabit your Virgo house of “happiness,” what could be
better than playing at love? Be warned: After six somewhat confusing weeks in
reverse, your sensual Venus rule is gaining a bit of momentum as it moves forward
once again. Speed is not of the essence, but while you're stopping to smell
the roses and sip the wine, try to contain the fantasies that may have misled
you when summer began.Artistic inspiration is one thing, self-induced martyrdom
another.

Gemini

The thrill seekers among you can play “chicken” to your heart's
content. While impulsive Mars in your sign is provoked by potent planetary forces,
you're liable to strike out at a partner, your boss, the landlord or your
parents. One positive result: your “edge” gets honed to perfection.
Twins who habitually opt for a “safe, not sorry” approach may resent
the support they elicit from concerned allies and relatives, thereby turning their
anger inward on themselves. Either way, until Mars moves on, you might be in for
a tough two weeks.

Cancer

With Tuesday's detail-driven Virgo new moon energy propelling the Moon Child
forward, you could soon be wheeling and dealing like a dynamo, making reservations,
gathering data and disseminating it with all due speed. What might not move as
quickly as you anticipate is a money matter than slowed down considerably while
Venus was retrograde in your house of assets and values. Now that the goddess
is facing forward again, and about to confront nebulous Neptune one more time,
make sure that you're just as careful handling this matter as you are about
nailing down travel dates.

Leo

Are you ready for the new season? An infusion of energy as your sun ruler and
action-packed Mars align midweek. Maybe competition from a colleague will be your
incentive, perhaps additional interest in reviving a creative project you've
had in the works for while. Or will your cause be something simple like saving
a child from a degrading experience that could be fixed with a few bucks? No matter
what moves you, you can be sure you'll attack it with as much determination
as is necessary. Now that circumspect Saturn is out of Leo, there's no need
to hold back.

Virgo

It's time to get busy, and not in the way you think. We're talking
about responding to a career challenge that might be tinged with danger. Midweek,
as macho Mars in your Gemini midheaven pokes at the sun in your sign, it'll
be difficult to not react to the provocation. The trick is to not lose your temper
or blow that Virgo sense of cool. A few days later subversive Pluto in the place
you call home and the family you identify with sends a message that could threatens
your sense of security. If the situation has been festering for a while, apply
more patience.

Libra

The temptation to indulge in another compelling fantasy might be hard to resist,
especially if the shit about to hit other people's fans is getting too close
for your comfort. Under the circumstances, and because your Venus ruler is no
longer focused on the past as it has been this summer, you could become obsessed
with an idealized vision of your own making. Whether it involves a romantic encounter
or a creative project makes little difference in the long run. It's a stopgap
measure meant to sustain you until your feet touch ground again.

Scorpio

Push comes to shove this week as the exacting Virgo sun tests Mars and Pluto,
both of your ruling planets. Best to respond to whatever the challenge is and
clean up your act now rather than wait until Mars confronts Pluto next weekend.
By then, you could be at cross-purposes with yourself. Pay particular attention
to a “holier than thou” colleague or acquaintance with designs on
your sources of income. It's possible that he or she intends to make you
work harder for your money than you had planned. C'est la vie.

Sagittarius

If you have successfully put off dealing with anything that infringes on your
comfort zone, congratulations are in order. Unfortunately for some that exercise
in procrastination is about to end. Thank or blame, depending on how long you've
been on hiatus, the workaholic Virgo sun in your career midheaven for testing
the viability of your partnership as well as the depth of your commitment to reinvention.
Which way to go and how quickly you have to get there are questions that you should
answer before the equinox. Who said anything about guilt?

Capricorn

Other signs may be slaying dragons, but you're more like Merlin this week,
poring over ancient texts and reciting the magic spells that'll keep peace
throughout the land. Word-wise Caps are the first line of defense; however, if
you take your mission seriously, don't discount the power of humor. It's
your clever comeback that can diffuse aggressive behavior in the workplace or
at Whole Foods. There's also a good chance that what you say or what you
know (Mercury in your Libra midheaven), will result in some kind of reward beyond
a pat on the back.

Aquarius

Good news for those who are back at school or contemplating taking a course. Mercury,
in your Libra house of higher education, is favorably aligned with imaginative
Neptune in Aquarius. This fortuitous combination is a precursor of the payoff
due in mid-October when the Libra sun reinforces what you learn this week. So
much the better if a trip also appears to be in the works. Meanwhile, continue
to be patient with the partner who is finally coming to a realization the rest
of the us were aware of while Venus in your Leo marriage house was retrograde.

Pisces

Someone is on the warpath, scattering buckshot hither and yon but thankfully not
aiming at you. Whether you're in shape or even want to defend one of those
targets depends on how long you think the attacks will last. And whether it's
an important enough bone of contention for you to join in the fray. Your good
judgment is likely to be successful because Mercury in harmonious Libra supports
your Neptune ruler, not an everyday occurrence. However, it's best if you
don't base your decision on the outcome you envision instead of what you
actually see.
