AUGUST 17-23, 2007
Mercury inaugurates a weekend filled with powerful planetary
forces when it merges with affectionate Venus in Leo. The secret that you're
dying to hear could be revealed when the Messenger and passionate Pluto trine
on Friday. Could it be about the joyous occasion created when the sun and Venus
marry that evening? Or does Mercury have more serious news to impart when it conjuncts
Saturn on Saturday? Early Sunday morning, the little guy moves on to Virgo; however,
at 11:11 a.m., no less, the sun perfects its rewarding trine to Pluto at the Galactic
Center of the Milky Way. Payoff on a huge scale. On Tuesday, Sol and Saturn get
together to legitimize something that's been building over the past two-plus
years. On Thursday, as solar Virgo begins, energetic Mars in mutable Gemini and
Jupiter in mutable Sag perfect their polarity. Restless-leg syndrome for all!

Aries

Rams born in mid-April are the ones who'll be most affected by all those
planets congregated at the tail end of Leo. First, you should listen for hints
you'll get from Mercury; when it tells you to contact the object of your
desire, do it. Then, when the Messenger suggests that you hold back, revise your
body language. By following the advice offered by an assortment of loved ones,
ranging from the child (Mercury) to the ex (Venus retrograde) to a parent (Saturn),
you should be able to build an enduring romantic relationship. If that's
what you want.

Taurus

In the midst of foreclosures and mortgage-company failures, it may seem ridiculous
to suggest that now would be a good time to resurrect a financial arrangement
about a real estate matter. Perhaps instead of refinancing your property, you'll
get the feeling that you'd better buy a more extensive insurance policy.
There's a very powerful incentive being beamed from the four planets (including
your Venus ruler) emerging from your Leo house of family and furnishings. It's
making you feel responsible, adult and eminently sane.

Gemini

An infusion of raw ambition can take you far. With militant, motivated Mars in
your sign for the first time in two years, there isn't much to keep you
from attaining whatever you set your sights on. Believe it or not, one of the
Twins might adopt a “tough as nails” attitude. Add the enthusiastic
support you're getting from an ally as Mars and expansive Jupiter perfect
their polarity midweek. Meanwhile, your well-connected Mercury ruler is steering
you toward generous, creative people – some you'll meet with in person,
others online.

Cancer

All that hard work is about to pay off. That's because Pluto in your house
of co-workers is gathering good press from Mercury, the diligent communicator.
Along with its reputation as the planet governing rehab and renovation, Pluto
promotes consistency and commitment. Any area related to improving your health
– be it treatment, exercise, food or supplements – gets the spotlight
treatment this week. More so after the sun leaves optimistic, but somewhat self-indulgent,
Leo for the attention to detail that critical Virgo provides.

Leo

“This Is Your Life, Leo.” Mercury in your sign ensures that we'll
be talking about you. Magnetic Venus, retrograde in Leo, puts you in the middle
of a group hug with people from the past and the present. Saturn at the tail end
of Leo acknowledges our respect for what you've accomplished over the past
two and a half years. However, it's your sun ruler's merger with those
other planets that'll shove you into the spotlight. Perhaps with Scorpio
and Sagittarius assuming supporting roles. Lovers? Teammates? Offspring?

Virgo

Until the sun enters your sign next Thursday, you'll have to rely on your
Mercury ruler telling you what you need to know. Or, at least, pointing the way
to your next revelation. An accumulation of wisdom born of experience? Once Mercury
enters Virgo a minute after midnight on Sunday, you can rely on your customary
thought patterns again. They should help you discern whether you're being
overly optimistic about a teaching, publishing or sports venture, and if there's
more being offered than another piece of “pie in the sky.”

Libra

How are the people in your book club treating you? Literature and sociability
go hand in hand when Mercury and your Venus ruler get together. Should a reason
to write arise, this coupling also makes for a good byline. But the Leo sun's
marriage to Venus might create too appealing a reason to celebrate. Why spend
time by yourself when you can share the happy event with friends, siblings and
neighbors? Even your stiff-lipped colleagues could express their satisfaction
and, for some, their appreciation for what you've managed to finesse.

Scorpio

Rock 'n roll is here to stay. So is any other branch of the entertainment industry
you may be involved with. Thank the four planets in your Leo career house for
emitting such powerful energy waves; also thank your Pluto co-ruler in your Sagittarius
money house for catching those waves. At the same time, your Mars co-ruler is
devising a plan, with the help of growth-oriented Jupiter, to further expand your
income. Because Jupiter is in your house of partnership, you'll probably
need an ally, e.g., an agent or attorney, for this one.

Sagittarius

It's the two planets in your sign that, like players on the periphery, are
getting the clear shot. Most of the team, i.e., the four planets currently in
Leo, are focused on powerful Pluto at the far end of your sign. Meanwhile, gigantic
Jupiter, as the inside man, is open for whatever Mars in ambidextrous Gemini is
sending him. Sorry, but the sports analogy tends to come up whenever athletic
Mars and wealthy, witty Jupiter, the planet ruling club owners, sports commentators
and media outlets, form any kind of aspect – in the case midweek, a challenging
opposition.

Capricorn

Caps will begin to get a sense of how things are going to change – more
like, what a relief it'll be – when your Saturn ruler enters Virgo,
a supportive earth sign like your own. On Sunday, after whispering good news in
your ear, Mercury makes the switch out of Leo. The sun follows suit on Tuesday,
embracing Saturn (and your creative efforts) before entering Virgo on Thursday.
After that, you've got 10 days to clear away the glittery leonine elements
before Saturn starts its two-and-a-half-year visit with the discriminating Virgin.

Aquarius

Assume it's being done in the name of love. While Venus retraces steps it
took between the end of June and the July Fourth weekend, you could again become
the main focus of a partner's elaborate plans. Do you have a say in the
matter? Only if you clarify your position, which might not be as easily done as
said. After the retrograde period ends on September 8, loving Venus will head
back this way. Then, as autumn begins, you could encounter another detour, hear
another explanation and, we hope, manage to work out another solution.

Pisces

Money may not be forthcoming just yet; however, the call to action announced by
Mars in Gemini can bring in the bucks before the year is out. Or before expansive
Jupiter leaves your Sagittarius career house in mid-December. It is the polarity
between these two planets, the infusion of planetary energy, that can foster the
sense of entrepreneurship that'll inspire you to get a move on and put your
better ideas out there. Once again, you're being urged to use Jupiter's
position at the top of your chart while you still have its blessing.
