A little white lie here, a sudden change of heart there,
followed by cold, hard facts and warm, friendly hugs. It's gearing up to be
a somewhat strange weekend, folks, culminating in yet another heavenly phenomenon.
The partial lunar eclipse, the annual opposition between the Libra sun and the
Aries full moon, occurs early Monday morning. Only time will tell whether it'll
mark a turning point for whatever issue was set in motion during the solar eclipse
on the 3rd. Stay tuned, but while impressionable Neptune continues to befuddle
both Mercury and Venus, be dubious.

Aries

You could try to stay out of it, but if friction develops between friends,
especially if you are tied into one of them monetarily, you may soon find yourself
in the hot seat. This flare-up will pass quickly enough; however, your financial
entanglement could become trickier the closer we get to Halloween, which is
also when an unspoken sexual attraction might be revealed. Meanwhile, the lunar
eclipse in your sign on the 17th can lead to an uncharacteristic display of
conflicting emotions, a duel between the “me” and the “we” of you.

Taurus

You might well be one of the friends your Aries neighbor is running interference
for. This weekend, as unpredictable Uranus provokes your Venus ruler, you won't
know what to expect. Look to heroic Mars, slowly retracing its steps through
Taurus, to adjust the game plan so that, natural disasters aside, nobody gets
hurt. To help you withstand the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, stable,
fatherly Saturn could cushion the blow when he favors Venus on the 16th. If
you want to play it safe, take his offer.

Gemini

Another seesaw sort of weekend as your Mercury ruler first comes under the
spell of mystical, spiritual Neptune, before shaking it off and adopting a harder-nosed
Saturnian approach. Reality can bite, especially when it comes to a harsh money
matter, so it'll probably pay a dreamer like you to opt for the practical rather
than the poetic. Besides, while Venus is in your Sagittarius house of partners,
you're likely to gain the approval of a popular, endearing creature with the
wherewithal to help you out.

Cancer

Your thinking could be out of sync with your feelings this weekend; therefore,
try to delay taking any meaningful action until the Aries full moon Monday morning
has come and gone. Better safe and indecisive than sorry. However, if wavering
from pillar to post doesn't bother you, if you remember that the moody Moon
Child is allowed to change his or her mind, especially during a lunar eclipse,
and that eventually all will be forgiven, you'll be cool. That is, assuming
you can count on getting the customary response from a compassionate parent
and/or an understanding lover.

Leo

A lunar eclipse doesn't pack quite the punch that a solar eclipse, like the
one on the 3rd, does. So when Sol, your ruling orb, opposes Luna on Monday,
the effect might not be as dramatic as you anticipate. Because this is an Aries
full moon, all the fire signs could sense that whether or not it suits present
purposes or future plans, something that has been fairly significant until now
is about to end. However, since Venus supports steadfast Saturn in your sign
this weekend, Leos should feel more secure than the others.

Virgo

Ah, the mystery of it all! Enjoy the trip through the unknown you've been known
to take whenever your Mercury ruler ventures into secretive Scorpio. The transit
doesn't always occur during October, but because this year it does, the weeks
before Halloween can be more engaging, more intense than usual. Isn't there
a neighborhood project dying for your participation? Since Mercury is aligned
with imaginative Neptune this weekend, now would be the time to envision how
you're going to look and what you're going to do.

Libra

What struck a nerve around the Libra solar eclipse on the 3rd could come close
to being resolved during the Aries lunar eclipse on the 17th. However, it might
take a lot longer to deal with the issue that was unleashed. Eclipses bring
both relatively short-term (three to six months) and long-term (19 years) results.
Until enough time has passed, you can't be sure which track you're on, what
is purely personal and what is generational. P.S. Librans celebrating birthdays
this weekend should look for signs of change among your allies and antagonists.

Scorpio

You're well-equipped this week to deal with a career concern that's taking
too long to come to a satisfactory conclusion. Patience may be the key to heaven,
but a few well-chosen words to someone on St. Peter's staff could move you closer
to the front of the line. And because clever Mercury is in your sign, what you
decide to say should provoke some sort of reaction. You might also get a boost
from the opportunistic sextile between the sun and your Pluto co-ruler embedded
in your house of money earned and values you uphold.

Sagittarius

A group of like-minded folks – more socially than politically oriented – might
do something that'll alleviate one of your private bugaboos when the Libra sun
sheds light on your dark side, i.e., Pluto in your sign. At the same time, the
lunar eclipse in your Aries house of romance and other risky pursuits could
be a signal that things in that area are not proceeding according to plan. If
you're athletically inclined, make a point of being extra careful. Given the
choice, don't take the double dare.

Capricorn

The lunar eclipse on the 17th underscores the conflict between a career objective
and a family concern. Although you might not be the chief protagonist, what
happens at home or to another family member can have a fairly dramatic effect
on you personally. Blame the old cardinal-sign cross you're being hoisted upon,
plus the two eclipses this month, for intensifying your reaction. What to do?
Wait and see what else flows from the sun's opposition to the moon. And keep
reminding yourself, you are not alone.

Aquarius

You might not make a clean getaway, but Monday's lunar eclipse shouldn't leave
much debris behind, unless you're dealing with a tricky scholastic or legal
matter. Even so, there are positive indications that the Libra sun and the Aries
full moon, despite delays you can blame on the eclipses, still favor your position.
What you should watch out for, however, is an inadvertent slip of the tongue,
deliberate misinformation or a leak from someone in charge while Mercury is
testing both you and your partner.

Pisces

Nobody wants to hear that the two eclipses this month are not short-lived events,
especially when they occur in the area of your solar chart that governs the
Fish's finances. It could take many months before the effects of these phenomena
manifest in ways that are obvious for all to see. So look carefully at the long-term
possibilities of whatever money matters you are currently transacting. The creative,
life-giving sun is about to merge with protective Jupiter in your Libra house
of the resources you share with significant others and/or the mortgage company.
