Mars in sensual Taurus turning retrograde as it opposes
Venus in sexy Scorpio this weekend does not bode well for male-female relationships,
but Venus will move on to Sagittarius on the 7th, while Mars is in reverse until
December 9. The Libra new moon Monday is also an annular solar eclipse, one
we can't see in the States. For a better view, go to Europe or India. On Wednesday,
Mercury and Jupiter, joint rulers of media mavens and moguls, combine forces
in “fair and balanced” Libra for the last time. These two are also
the gods that comedy writers pray to.

Aries

For love or money. What might have an obvious impact on you this weekend is
the opposition between your fiery Mars ruler and affectionate Venus in your
Scorpio house of sex, death and other people's money. Sometimes this passionate
face-off makes the relationship sizzle, sometimes it fizzles, but no matter
the outcome, anticipate an exchange of assets. You may threaten to change your
will, or you could discuss terms for a different deal, while Mercury and Jupiter
meet in your Libra partnership zone just days after the new moon.

Taurus

Except for the fiscal ramifications, your forecast this week reads a lot like
Aries'. However, it is your artistic Venus ruler sitting in your Scorpio house
of partners that is confronting Mars in Taurus. What to react to? Opposing points
of view, male-female contentiousness or the knowledge that energetic Mars turns
retrograde Saturday for 10 weeks of enforced idleness? If surgery is scheduled,
will rehab take longer than usual or will the procedure have to be repeated
after Mars goes direct? P.S. The new moon can introduce a new romantic interest.

Gemini

One of the more opportune days of the year appears right after the Libra new
moon on Monday ushers in a civilized social agenda and a harmonious reunion
within the family circle. When your expressive Mercury ruler joins forces with
expansive Jupiter on the 5th, any number of offers to make an appearance and
speak your mind could pour in. Writers and pundits will relish their good ideas,
rappers and actors their growing audiences, athletes their pervasive media exposure.
Grab your chance ASAP; by next weekend, Mercury will be in Scorpio.

Cancer

The judicious Libra new moon comes up with another way to handle a perplexing
educational issue or a situation in the neighborhood. It may also offer a fresh
approach to a family matter. And while airy Libra might not be the easiest element
to adjust to, because the lunation is also a solar eclipse, a Moon Child could
have a greater impact on the people concerned. This week would be a good time
to rethink your reasons for making improvements at home. It's also a propitious
time for buying if not another car, how about a bike?

Leo

Becoming conservative in your old age? Since sensible Saturn in your sign forms
a supportive sextile with your sun ruler this weekend, chances are you won't
be terribly affected by the events accompanying the always dramatic, often vitriolic
opposition between Venus and Mars. But if you want more insurance, stay away
from budding conflicts between the girls and the boys. Also, because the Libra
new moon is a solar eclipse, you may not get as much satisfaction from a financial
matter as anticipated.

Virgo

Travel plans might have to be put on hold while adventurous Mars in your Taurus
house of lifelong ambitions goes retrograde for 10 weeks. The same holds true
for courses and symposiums that would buff up your r??sum??. Since
Monday's sun-moon conjunction is a solar eclipse, your financial picture is
not as clear-cut as it normally would be this time of year. However, while your
Mercury ruler merges with prosperous Jupiter in Libra on the 5th, there's an
excellent chance that something spectacular or substantial will come your way.

Libra

The new moon in your sign holds the promise of a new attitude, perhaps a new
look, for yourself. But don't expect instant gratification; because the sun
is eclipsed, it could take longer than a month to achieve the result you want.
An indication – maybe the actual announcement – that benefits are about to arrive
could come when Mercury, the messenger, meets lucky Jupiter in your sign on
the 5th. Their merger sets the stage for the supremely fortunate sun-Jupiter
conjunction at the tail end of your sign that is scheduled for October 22.

Scorpio

It's not a sure thing, but there's a fair chance that a casual acquaintance
will do something that'll add legitimacy or luster to your good name. No biggie,
just a nudge in the right place at the right time. However, the primary focus
this week is less on you than on a partner who, because your Mars co-ruler is
turning retrograde in Taurus, could be at a crossroads that'll affect you both.
Be as supportive as you honestly can, but also know that the decision could
take a lot longer to reach than either of you expect.

Sagittarius

Despite the portents that classically accompany a solar eclipse, the Libra
new moon might bring pleasant, even pretty, people onto your scene, who, whether
you like it or not, may still be around three months later. Sometimes an infusion
of new faces acts like a tonic, sometimes it's overwhelming; however, if some
want to foster your career, then the time and attention they demand could be
worth it. Few Centaurs are certifiable loners, but since archery is not exactly
a team sport, having a bunch of boosters buzzing around can become a distraction.

Capricorn

A new moon in another cardinal sign usually introduces something into your
personal life that's more meaningful and longer-lasting. Since the Libra new
moon is also a solar eclipse, expect its effects to last at least three months
or until the Capricorn new moon arrives on the eve of New Year's Eve. The Aries
full moon is also an eclipse, so over the next two weeks you could be riding
the seesaw, dividing your attention between Libran career concerns and Arian
family matters, trying to maintain a balance between the two.

Aquarius

Sex, the occult, insurance policies and other people's money, the business
of life and death, can have a stronger impact on you this year than a couple-centric
Libra new moon usually does. Because it's also a solar eclipse, this lunation
might not deliver on its original promise; therefore, try to pay attention to
what is supposed to transpire and, just as importantly, what isn't. The differences
can be dramatically revealed at the Aries full-moon eclipse on the 17th. Until
then, abide by the Libra motto: one from column A and one from column B.

Pisces

Expecting a windfall? If it doesn't arrive when Mercury merges with magnanimous
Jupiter on the 5th, you might have to wait until the 22nd, while the Libra sun
and the planet of growth and generosity conjunct. But if financial gain isn't
the object of your desire, then there's an excellent chance that you'll become
much more knowledgeable about a subject that has piqued your interest. Nothing
spells s-m-a-r-t as much as the confluence of perceptive Mercury and philosophical
Jupiter. It also spells f-u-n-n-y.
