A critical week as the 1-degree Cancer-Capricorn full moon squares 0 Aries,
the beginning of the zodiac. It also recalls the total solar eclipse of June
21, 2001, that ushered in the post-9/11 world. And then there's the 5-degree
Capricorn-Cancer full moon six months ago that accompanied the devastating tsunami.
Terrified yet? Father's Day turns out to be the last full day of solar Gemini;
summer begins at 11:46 p.m. PDT on Monday, the 20th; elsewhere, on the 21st.
The moon enters Capricorn Tuesday morning and reaches fullness that night at
9:14 PDT. Keep those fingers crossed.

Aries

You might mean well, but there's a conflict building between your innate self-interest,
amplified by the return of your Mars ruler to Aries, and your concern about
a family matter or a problem at the house. The tension affects cuspy Rams more
than the others, and should reach a fevered pitch around the full moon. The
others may encounter frustration trying to get away for the weekend or difficulty
keeping emotions in check during whatever passes for a Father's Day celebration.
A certain amount of depression, a.k.a. stern Saturn trapped in the parent zone,
is a given.

Taurus

The deeper significance of this potent full moon could strike home when a money
matter goes awry. What appears to be a safe bet, as befits the Mommy-Daddy Cancer-Capricorn
sun-moon axis, can draw unexpected interference from a hotheaded acquaintance.
And while your natural inclination at the moment is to provide protection or
pleasure for those you love, those you don't may challenge you at every turn.
Let's hope that siblings or neighbors don't number among your current favorites.
They're likely to disappoint.

Gemini

Not until the full moon is well on the wane will you fully realize how much
you're enjoying your Mercury ruler's newly found closeness with amiable, artistic
Venus. Not only can your taste for the finer, more valuable things improve,
but your choices could be taken more seriously, possibly adding to your reputation
as a connoisseur or, since the planets are in Cancer, a gourmet. Enjoy the popularity,
panache and pleasantries Venus brings to the table. In another month, Mercury
will be at a standstill, getting ready to turn retrograde until mid-August,
and Venus will have moved on.

Cancer

The dramatic aftermath of the Cancer-Capricorn full moon Tuesday night can
reverberate a lot longer than another two weeks. Because the event occurs so
close to the sensitive solstice points, Crabs celebrating birthdays this month
will feel the impact more strongly than those born in July. It's the latter
group who'll be reacting to the attention being paid, the respect being shown
and the air of authority they're emitting as expressive Mercury and appreciative
Venus pay homage to old-school Saturn at the tail end of your sign.

Leo

This weekend, when the spring social season is peaking and in-demand Lions
are appearing at assorted events, keep an eye out, an ear open for a promising
financial venture. The entrepreneurial spirit soars whenever prosperity-minded
Jupiter presents an opportunity to gutsy, risk-taking Mars. This surge in confidence
is especially true for the August Leo because, by next weekend, the duo will
be shaking hands across your money axis. The July-born may get an offer to join
a group of adventurers or, failing that, to buy the book.

Virgo

House-proud Virgins can use the potent energy generated by the cardinal-sign
full moon to resolve a messy domestic problem or, just as easily, increase their
stature in the community. If you're part of a family business, so much the better.
But be sure to leave plenty of time to meet with friends and friends of friends
because, next weekend, affectionate Venus will be as close to Mercury as the
love goddess gets this year. Repeat: for the rest of the year. While she wraps
her arms around your ruling planet, you should pursue a romance.

Libra

Librans born close to the autumn equinox may have a gut reaction to the full
moon that follows close on the heels of the summer solstice. Prepare for a deluge
of emotional memories unleashed by the maternal Cancer/paternal Capricorn polarity.
The October-born could operate in another arena altogether as knowledgeable
Mercury and your value-conscious Venus ruler gang up on stringent Saturn in
your career house. Charm can move mountains of resistance; so can a well-written,
well-researched proposal. A fabulous lunch wouldn't hurt either.

Scorpio

A Scorpio moon this weekend, including the better part of Father's Day, can
make you feel right at home no matter whose home you're in. It'll also facilitate
a smooth transition into solar Cancer, the sign that feeds your love of learning
and your hunger for truly meaningful experiences. Meanwhile, your Mars co-ruler,
revitalized by the emotional heat of fiery Aries, is stirring your desire as
it reacts to optimistic Jupiter's challenge. Whether it's an adventure, a game
of chance or a romance, you'll wholeheartedly dive in.

Sagittarius

Archers born near the cusp of the winter solstice might be taken aback by the
aftermath of the Capricorn full moon on Tuesday. But even before that significant
event occurs, try to address your attitude about Father's Day in general, this
one in particular. One advantage of having Pluto in your sign is its ability
to call up buried feelings, happy memories as well as traumatic ones. Archers
born in November could be on edge, watching how a potentially huge career move
develops while their Jupiter ruler is being stoked by hotheaded Mars.

Capricorn

It's entirely possible that the days after Father's Day could
turn out to be the most important ones of the year. Not opening night, not your
anniversary, not even Christmas! The Capricorn full moon Tuesday may mark the
event or, just as likely, the realization that'll trigger a dramatic change
in Goat behavior, particularly for those born on the cusp of Sagittarius. The
others dodge the emotion-filled bullet by concentrating on the pleasures, both
physical and intellectual, they're sharing with well-regarded partners.

Aquarius

You've been warned, so if impulsive Mars encourages you to go way beyond your
means when it opposes enthusiastic Jupiter, you have no one to blame – well,
you could try to curtail your partner's spending habits – but yourself. On the
other hand, you may actually deserve a substantial reward for what you did in
April when Mars was in Aquarius and egging you on. But if the opposition doesn't
present a financial challenge, be sure you buckle up and slow down while driving.
Aggressive Mars is the leading cause of accidents.

Pisces

Today's brilliant idea won't be the straw that breaks the camel's back or the
shiny lure that catches the Fish. While mental Mercury rewards groundbreaking
Uranus in your sign, your latest brainstorm could blaze a trail that the creative,
romantically inclined Cancer sun follows over the July Fourth weekend. Pay special
attention to random thoughts because they can inspire moments to remember for
a long time to come. The same could be said about the Capricorn full moon in
your career midheaven on Tuesday.
