Will there be a change for the better as the Scorpio sun favors
innovative Uranus Friday, with the promise of the new in the offing? Sunday could
be quite special: an early-morning full moon exalted in Taurus, the down-to-earth
sign that Luna loves almost as much as she does Cancer, the emotional water sign
she rules. Monday appears to be artistically challenging and romantically confusing;
Venus squares idealistic Neptune in Aquarius. Tuesday, Election Day, offers a
happy marriage of head and heart, i.e., a Mercury-Venus conjunction in sexy, power-hungry
Scorpio. Wednesday is a mass of contradictions: Mercury retrograde squaring nebulous
Neptune is either duplicitous or simply misinformed. Militant Mars' supportive
trine to unpredictable Uranus in Pisces, the sign of limitless faith, can be dangerous
no matter how favorable the aspect. Then the sun-Mercury conjunction mid-afternoon
suggests that more information is on the way. Thursday begins with the sun's
square to Neptune – illusion, delusion, disillusionment, suspicion, spin.

Aries

How much does money matter? Right now, a whole lot. With so much activity in your
Scorpio house of investments, insurance and inheritances, plus arrangements involving
other people's money, you'd better proceed with the utmost caution.
At the moment your tendency to come off as unpredictable, overconfident and caustic
might not sit well with folks who have a vested interest in your profit-and-loss
statement, e.g., loan officers or your partner. Since Mercury is retrograde (until
the 17th) in that section of your chart, there'll be errors and oversights.

Taurus

You're just as likely to fall for an elaborate scam or believe the latest
spin as you are to reject them. It all depends on what you find out when the sun
and retrograde Mercury convene in your Scorpio house of significant others. Since
your Venus ruler has a significant stake in that meeting, there's a good
chance you'll become overly emotional about the information. Be careful,
it is one thing to be merely misinformed and another to have your hopes dashed.
A saving grace: prudent Saturn's hold on your imagination and ambition.

Gemini

As wave after wave of gossip and innuendo seep into your workplace, your co-workers
may flounder in a stormy sea of suspicion. Because it is your retrograde Mercury
ruler spreading the word, the Twins are better equipped than most to distinguish
the facts from the fabrications. Nevertheless, it makes sense to wait until Mercury
turns direct before you take any action that might endanger your position. It's
also a good idea to try to stem the tide of paranoia. But since acidic Mars joins
Mercury this week, it may be hard to remain sweet and gentle.

Cancer

Note: after Election Day, fun and games. Are you singing “Happy Days Are
Here Again?” Or did you campaign so diligently for a proposition that you
need a vacation? Maybe you're the kind of Moon Child who, like Nero, is
compelled to play while your district goes down in flames? No matter; basically,
it's all good. Whatever happens happens in Scorpio, the water sign hell-bent
on strengthening its ties to you. Because the romantic implications are also favorable,
make the most of this moment in time before it eludes you.

Leo

Another of those signals that seem to come from out of the blue whenever your
sun ruler and Mercury get together could arrive on the 8th. Pay attention to the
messages as well as the vibes you pick up, especially if they concern your family,
your residence or the real estate market in general. Should a restriction be placed
on you while Saturn in your sign is besieged by all those planets in Scorpio,
try to stay relaxed. A proud Lion has plenty of backbone; you don't need
a stiff upper lip as well.

Virgo

In the midst of this week's Mercury retrograde, there's the election
and its aftermath. The last time this situation occurred, November 2000, Mercury
was changing direction and Florida was hanging by a thread (i.e., chad). However,
because the Messenger is your ruling planet, you could be the target for the arrows
Mercury is shooting all over the place. A conjunction with loving Venus, another
one with the creatively suspicious Scorpio sun, and yet another belly-to-belly
encounter with abrasive and sexually adventurous Mars. Take pains to avoid getting
hurt.

Libra

Let's concentrate on how fine your fine romance is – or is your Venus
ruler's trip through your house of acquisitions and values mainly interested
in finery? Scorpio can be an intriguing yet problematic time for the Scales, because
you probably have a few natal planets in that deep, dark, hard-to-explain water
sign. For a verbal Libra, whose ability to convey intelligence and refinement
is beyond dispute, these churning emotions can be difficult to deal with, let
along express. Luckily, Venus teams up with Mercury to find the words. Write.

Scorpio

You're golden. There may have been other times when you shone like the sun
in all its glory, but that hasn't happened for a while. No matter how you
handle the opportunities offered, the amenities extended or the praise you're
showered with while so many planets are traveling through Scorpio, try not to
take anything for granted. True, lucky Jupiter has been in your sign for the past
year, but it's on its way out; so is magnetic Venus. And while your Mars
co-ruler is with you for the first time in two years, it, too, doesn't stay
for long. Carpe diem.

Sagittarius

Plumb the depths of your unconscious, undergo hypnosis, consult an oracle. Just
make sure you know what it is you truly want or, more to the point, need. Cover
all the bases so you won't mismanage the fabulous stroke of good luck heading
your way when Venus, the Lesser Fortuna, merges its beneficent rays with those
of your Jupiter ruler, a.k.a., the Greater Fortuna, on the 15th. Sounds like a
tarot reading is in your future. You'd think, with all the talk about Sagittarius
being the sign of the Seer, you wouldn't need outside help. 'Taint
necessarily so.

Capricorn

Like the Lion, the Goat appears to be standing the test of time. Some people call
the tests “problems”; others, your more irritating acquaintances,
refer to them as “opportunities.” No matter how you deal with what
actually comes your way, understand that value-conscious Venus' square to
your Saturn ruler and, later this month, a square from the Scorpio sun, are normal
seasonal challenges. A ball is thrown; you might hit it, miss it or let it go
by. This time the balls represent other people's money and your sex life.
Interesting, no?

Aquarius

Feeling reckless? How about more adventurous than usual? That's because
courageous Mars is sending strong supportive vibes to your Uranus ruler. Mercury
follows suit by extending a warm invitation around Veterans Day. Think long and
hard before you sign up for any passing thing. Just before the Thanksgiving exodus
begins, unpredictable Uranus will change direction, from retrograde to direct,
a mere two days after Mercury also flips. Chances are you'll change your
mind a few times. Try to stay flexible.

Pisces

These are the times that try men's souls? Maybe. Some Fish could be under
undue stress, trying to adjust to a new perspective now that your Neptune ruler
is moving forward. Guess what? Another adjustment is in the wind; oddly attractive,
altruistic Uranus in your sign turns direct on the 19th after a five-month (mid-June)
hiatus. Then there's little Mercury making its usual retrograde mess. Focus
instead on the benefits (material, psychological and emotional) beamed by the
doubly fortunate Venus-Jupiter conjunction in empathetic Scorpio.
