The third and final provocative square on Wednesday between
expansive Jupiter in Scorpio and restrictive Saturn in Leo, two “my way
or the highway” fixed signs, is still in effect, although we might not see
the historical or financial ramifications right away. Could it be because romantic
Venus merging with the passionate Scorpio sun on Friday is making us hot and bothered?
Or are we worried about Mercury going retrograde Saturday afternoon and disrupting
our lines of communication? Maybe the fog generated by nebulous Neptune turning
direct early Sunday is clouding our perceptions? Or is it the uproar generated
by the media and their moguls when Mercury and Jupiter convene on Monday? Can
it be our fascination with All Hallows' Eve and the Day of the Dead? All
or none of the above?

Aries

Make it last. While your Mars ruler travels through secretive Scorpio during the
next six weeks, there's a good chance you'll be drawn into a fascinating,
but somewhat conspiratorial, scenario. It's been two years since this particular
transit occurred, so think back to Christmas 2004 for a clue to what might transpire
again, both romantically and financially. Because few things about the Scorpio
experience are obvious, be sure to dig deep if you want to uncover the truth of
what is being revealed. Mercury retrograde, plus a willingness to be patient,
will help.

Taurus

Reality checks may be necessary this week, because Mercury turns retrograde Saturday
in your Scorpio house of significant others, i.e., both your allies and the competition.
For some Bulls, an empowering experience; for others, a problem concerning the
house that could slow you down for the next three weeks. Also this weekend, artistic
Neptune turns direct (it's been retrograde since May) in your Aquarius career
house, an event that could activate your imagination and attract new clients.
Excellent romantic prospects for all; the more unexpected, the better.

Gemini

It might make for an awkward moment, but the compelling combination of magnetic
Venus, horny Mars and the clandestine Scorpio sun this weekend could spell t-r-o-u-b-l-e.
If you're already attached, plan on coming up with a good reason to slip
away from your partner's watchful eye. But if you're not, and you're
eager to party during this Halloween season like never before, why not devise
a costume that expresses your secret desires? Since your Mercury ruler is in flip
mode, you needn't be consistent about anything.

Cancer

The triumph of the triumvirate! Rarely do Mars, Venus and the Scorpio sun march
as one entity, but this weekend, they're wending their way through the hallowed
halls of your home and family arm in arm in arm. That the trio is also spraying
your domain with lustful thoughts suggests that you'd better know which
tasty relative is hiding behind which Halloween mask. No matter what happens,
the Crab will benefit from any crazy plot the Scorpio planets invent for your
amusement. Just be careful: Mercury flipping can send the wrong message.

Leo

It doesn't have to be an elaborate affair, but it makes sense if you host
a Halloween party. So many (five) planets embedded in Scorpio will provide an
assortment of reasons to do so, from reciprocating a dinner invitation to evening
another kind of score. Don't expect preparations to flow smoothly, but whatever
challenges arise along the way can be met with an admirable display of grace and
charm. This multilayered opportunity to stand out won't appear again for
years; why not go for it?

Virgo

Steel yourself for a trip through communication and commuting hell for no other
reason than that your Mercury ruler will be retrograde in your Scorpio house of
travel, sales and education for the next three weeks. To make things more annoying,
for some of that time Mercury will be in close contact with Jupiter, the giant
planet with a tendency to magnify all situations and emotions, including hope.
Dedicated researchers and mystery writers may eventually do quite well, but they'll
probably need to rewrite in the interim.

Libra

By now, you should be aware of how much sex appeal you're exuding (plus,
there's more to come). But did you also know that you're in a prime
position to make a killing by buying or selling something of value? Find any first
editions in the attic? While Mercury is going back and forth in your second house
of personal finances, it's a good time to focus on increasing your assets.
But there's no big rush. Although Mercury reverses direction on the 28th
and faces forward again on November 17, not until early December does its influence
diminish.

Scorpio

Five planets in your sign provide a considerable amount of star power as well
as willpower. If you decide to lord it over the rest of us, remember that Mercury
going through its contortions in your sign means that you should think twice about
the messages you convey. Otherwise, your words could come back to bite you, you
know where. Mercury retrogresses this weekend at 25 Scorpio, turns direct November
17 at 9 degrees and returns to 25 on December 4. During those five weeks, three
of the five planets will move on, taking their muscle with them.

Sagittarius

These are significant times, even if your personal life is not going through a
transformation. Pieces of puzzles that have been off the table manage to show
up in time to clarify the current picture. People you've lost track of make
their presence felt in unusual ways. A fond hope you held years ago and abandoned
along the way is suddenly a possibility again. Rearranging your memories and your
priorities is a harbinger of what may happen in the next few weeks as Mercury
prepares your Jupiter ruler for its upcoming transit through Sagittarius.

Capricorn

It might take a few days to notice any difference, but impressionable Neptune
turning direct in your Aquarius house of assets and values this weekend can alter
your appreciation of what you have and what you want. Think back to late May to
decide if any progress regarding a money matter has been made in the interim.
Is the issue still relevant? Any chance it'll come back to haunt you during
Halloween? Mercury retrograde in Scorpio could affect social relationships with
colleagues and casual acquaintances rather than financial ones.

Aquarius

Two planets changing direction this weekend can be confusing. On one hand, there's
mercurial Mercury, and its penchant for miscommunication, turning retrograde in
your Scorpio house of career development. On the other, there's idealistic
Neptune in Aquarius emerging from the retrograde fog it's been in since
May. Personally, you're about to cover familiar ground but with a different,
more enlightened perspective. You're gearing up to reconsider a recent career
decision and reassess the information upon which it was based. Try to stay focused.

Pisces

Since you constantly seem to be entertaining all manner of alternatives anyway,
it might not make a difference that your imaginative Neptune ruler is turning
direct after five months retrograde in Aquarius. Only you can judge the subtlety
of the switch, and for that you'll need time and perspective. However, Mercury's
flip into retrograde can be easily recognized. How messed up is your mail delivery?
What about your connection to faraway places, the airplanes that'll get
you there and the people you intend to hook up with?
