Another freaky Friday. The early-morning new moon/solar eclipse
(not visible in the States) at 29+ Virgo initiates a new lunar cycle and, by sunset,
a new Jewish year. At 9:04 p.m. PDT/12:04 a.m. EDT, the autumnal equinox officially
introduces the fall season. With the sun, Mercury and Mars in diplomatic Libra,
our chances of achieving some semblance of peace, if not justice, should improve.
The weekend has a hopeful, idyllic quality as expressive Mercury and prophetic
Jupiter contact idealistic, inspirational Neptune. On the other hand, nebulous
Neptune tends to cloud men's minds with an abundance of faith and fantasy.
Your call.

Aries

Take your pick, diplomat or dreamer? Stark reality could take a detour toward
the ephemeral while your action-oriented Mars ruler strikes a mutually beneficial
deal with idealistic Neptune. Artists may find their efforts are being recognized;
activists could come closer to attaining a cherished goal. It's all because
of Libra's insistence that, while Mars is in that sign, you cooperate. Dare
we suggest compromise! Go ahead; for the time being, i.e., until stubborn Scorpio
begins, there's room to wiggle as well as dance.

Taurus

Beware the green-eyed monster. Every now and then, when your Venus ruler confronts
secretive Pluto, as it does this week, you're liable to get really jealous.
Of whom or what may make little difference. This time around, while Venus is still
in hypercritical Virgo, you might direct your envy to another artist's work.
Or tie your stomach in knots worrying that a romantic interest is not paying the
sort of attention you need. However, after Venus enters fair-and-balanced Libra
on the 30th, the monster should return to the dark place he came from.

Gemini

Inspiration instead of perspiration. Although you may be busier than the proverbial
bee, the next few weeks can be an air sign's dream come true. That's
because idealistic Neptune in Aquarius is on excellent terms with all those planets
in airy Libra, and they, by reflection, direct their support to your Gemini planets,
the third leg of this Grand Air Trine. Try to make the most of this seasonal break
from the ups and downs of a daily routine. Take time for art and other stimulating
pursuits, social get-togethers and a chance to look for romance. Or better yet,
let it find you.

Cancer

Gentle nudging by three planets in Libra, the sign known as “the iron fist
in the velvet glove,” can make a significant impact on your domestic scene.
If you feel you're being led by an invisible force toward a decision you're
not quite ready to make, blame charming Libra and its hospitable ways. However,
a heavy workload could become your saving grace, a valid excuse to evade the pressures
at home. We know you've used this excuse before, and we're confident
that you'll use it again, especially when family holidays roll around.

Leo

If you haven't checked off every item ??? the clothes, the concerts
??? on your wish list for the fall, this would be the time to do so. While
your sun ruler's trip through discriminating Virgo may have provided the
information you needed to make the best choices, Sol's transit of graceful,
judicious Libra will allow you to proceed without stepping on anyone's toes.
Although, with so much energy focused on inspirational Neptune in your partnership
house, you probably won't get much resistance from that quarter anyway.

Virgo

Sometimes it takes a while, up to three months, until the effects of an eclipse
become evident, sometimes not. Therefore, the solar eclipse on the 22nd at the
tail of your sign can still mystify you. But others may already be dealing with
the loss that often accompanies this new-moon phenomenon. If patience is not among
the Virgin's many virtues, this would be a good time to develop it. Look
to an honor-bound Leo or a stalwart Scorpio to learn how to maintain a cool head,
a firm hand, when under duress. They are potential allies.

Libra

By now, you know the drill. Once Libra starts, it is lunch after lunch, dinner
after dinner, until, exhausted by all the celebrations, including those for the
other Libras in your life, you finally call it quits. Maybe you'll take
to your bed, maybe you'll dig up dirt that'll distract your circle
of friends. But unless it's truly shocking news (and while your Venus ruler
confronts corrupt Pluto, it very well might be), words alone won't interrupt
the flow of invitations. Better change your shoes and get on with the dance.

Scorpio

How you manage to profit from the down-and-dirty side of life is beyond the rest
of us. However, it seems that while your Pluto co-ruler in your Sagittarius house
of income tests the influence of Venus in your house of business associates, you'll
make out just fine. Who are these people, what secrets do they possess, and why
are you privy to them? Is protective Jupiter in your sign covering your ass while
it increases your assets? This is one of those magical interludes when wishing
can make it so, but you only have until Thanksgiving to open that window of opportunity.

Sagittarius

Libra is usually a pleasant, productive time for the Centaur. You get to enjoy
a civilized social life minus the stress of the holiday season, plus there's
more art and music available than you can readily absorb. Since so much of the
astrological activity is centered at the top of your solar chart, attending these
events might also give your career a shot in the arm. Absence may make the heart
grow fonder, although a chance meeting can jog the memory and fuel the creative
fires. Have I got a project for you!

Capricorn

You might have to explore your unconscious to discover what currently constitutes
“buried treasure.” The rare trine aspect between your Saturn ruler
in golden Leo and subterranean Pluto in your Sagittarius house of invisible influences
is about to reward you. Or at least to support your deepest, darkest Plutonian
desires. With Saturn in your house of shared assets and attitudes (not to mention
a rich sex life), all sorts of profitable possibilities can open up. Just don't
talk about them with anyone but your closest confidant.

Aquarius

Nebulous Neptune in your sign is attracting so much attention from other planets
(i.e., other people), you might as well get with the program and welcome the crowd.
While your mind may be stimulated by intellectual exchanges with Gemini, Virgo
or Libra natives, and Arians could goad you into taking action, your best bet
is to follow the advice offered by Scorpio and Sagittarius. They are the two signs
overseeing the course of your career, and their combined wisdom, caution and optimism
are the qualities that'll stand you in good stead for the rest of the year.

Pisces

Read for Aquarius and extract as much from the attention being paid to your Neptune
ruler as applies to your own circumstances. It could feel like you're engaged
in a “Same Time, Next Year” affair; the airy Libra planets have been
paying court to inspirational Neptune in the sign of the Water-Bearer for more
than six years. So, even though Neptune is camped out in your 12th house of the
unknown, you should have more than an inkling of what you can expect, especially
since farseeing Jupiter is adding its two cents' worth.
