Perk up your ears, look for a sign. The sun and Mercury are
still close enough (their conjunction was Thursday) to send out messages to anyone
willing to receive them. But as they cross from pragmatic Taurus to literate Gemini
this weekend, the tone may change. The billing and cooing you hear on Saturday
is a result of romantic Venus' opportunistic sextile to idealistic Neptune,
a daydream come true, but not for long. On Tuesday, during a challenging square
to Mars in Cancer, Venus gets embroiled in one of those “she said, he said”
conflicts. Sexy perhaps, but no longer sweet and gentle.

Aries

The odds of beginning a new romance or simply attracting more action get better
as desirable Venus in your sign approaches a provocative square to your Mars ruler.
The point of impact is scheduled for Tuesday, but because Mars is impatient, and
makes you feel the same way, there's a good chance that you'll be
all hot and bothered as early as this weekend. More good news: The aftermath of
their initial encounter is buffeted by a supportive trine between Venus and passionate
Pluto in Sag, an eminently compatible fire sign.

Taurus

Read for Aries. Once again your Venus ruler and Mars, their ruling planet, are
headed for another romantic encounter, but not necessarily with each other. Venus
in fiery Aries could just as easily attract a poetic Pisces, an altruistic Aquarius,
a brooding Scorpio or a Sagittarius on the run. Under normal circumstances, I
would advise caution, but while Venus is in high-spirited Aries, you're
more inclined to take a risk, act on impulse and make the first move. Next week,
after Venus enters Taurus, you can sit back and wait to be courted.

Gemini

Since this year your rational Mercury ruler is in your sign for only two weeks,
try to focus on the most important items on your agenda instead of the full range
of your current interests. Also try not to get overwhelmed by the amount and variety
of information you receive or by those sudden flashes of brilliance that seem
to occur with regularity whenever Mercury comes back to Gemini. Yes, use them,
but understand that when your brain is operating at mach speed, and overtime to
boot, you could easily burn out. An infusion of new-moon energy on the 26th.

Cancer

It's a once-every-two-years transit; however, while aggressive Mars is in
your sign, you can't ignore his forthright objectives. Nothing subtle about
those intentions, but you might try pulling punches when Venus is the target.
Such is the case this week. Unfortunately for working stiffs, Venus is presently
holding court in your Aries career house, so while you want to call the shots,
the friction generated by the square aspect between the planet ruling women and
the one ruling men won't allow it. Give up or give in.

Leo

A close relationship could take a downturn when impressionable Neptune in your
house of partners turns retrograde on the 22nd for the next five months. Over
the last few years, this pattern may have taken some getting used to, but by now
you should have found a way to deal with the lack of attention and action. For
some Lions, a welcome relief; for others, a colossal drag. However, at the end
of August, when rigorous Saturn in your sign opposes nebulous Neptune in Aquarius,
this relationship could change for good. Solidify or disintegrate?

Virgo

Is it time to make travel arrangements for the summer? The planetary activity
in gadabout Gemini, especially around the new moon on the 26th, could inspire
a desire to go somewhere you haven't been before with people with whom you
have great rapport. Why the heads-up now? Because your Mercury ruler will be retrograde
from July 4 until July 28, it's doubtful that any new business will be introduced
during that period. And since Mercury will be crisscrossing the border between
Cancer and Leo then, foreign cuisine and exotic entertainments should keep your
interest from wandering.

Libra

Solar Gemini is traditionally a good time of year for fellow-air-sign Librans.
All those animated conversations, plus places to go and people to see, and, if
there's a chance of making money from a joint project, so much the better.
But the action that'll keep you busy is less mental, more physical and quite
emotional. That's because your affectionate Venus ruler and abrasive Mars
are about to rub each other the wrong or, for the truly horny, the right way.
Certainly sparks will fly from the contact, but it can also result in a push-comes-to-shove
situation.

Scorpio

Wide parameters and vague forecasts won't help pinpoint what will happen
when amenable Venus reaches out to both Mars and Pluto, your co-ruling planets.
But since you are familiar with the details of your romantic life as well as your
artistic efforts, you can fill in the blank spots yourself. A challenging square
between Venus and Mars may provoke further interest in a co-worker and provide
an issue to work out between you. Meanwhile, a rewarding trine from the goddess
to Pluto in your money house could bring in something of value, something you've
been waiting for.

Sagittarius

The combination of Mercury, the sun and, next weekend, the new moon in Gemini
could provide additional information that'll force you to look at a partnership
matter in a new light. But until that time comes, you may become obsessed (not
an easy thing for a philosophical Sag) with the good times and good feelings you're
having while flirtatious Venus in your Aries house of fun and games favors Pluto
in your sign. Blame that pervasive Plutonic intensity for turning an easy-come,
easy-go attraction into a matter of life or death.

Capricorn

For the next few days, the Gemini sun and Mercury should keep you amused playing
word games or preparing to run a 5K, but before too much longer, that Gemini intelligence
will have you concentrating on the work you do so well and the impact you can
have if you decide to volunteer your services. Try to keep your emotional distance
this weekend if Venus in your home base and Mars in your marriage zone attack
each other. Let family members resolve their problem with your partner without
any interference or input on your part.

Aquarius

Now would be a good time to get into a home-improvement project, preferably something
related to communication, lighting, or organizing the garage. The beneficial air-sign
energy that Gemini is emitting should not be allowed to go to waste, especially
since inspirational Neptune in your sign could veer off in another direction when
it turns retrograde on Monday. Neptune's reversal might leave you groggy
and unfocused, which is another reason why perceptive Mercury and the creative
vibes of the sun can be such a positive force.

Pisces

Every now and then, Fish reach out to the amphibians, insects and plants that
make neighborhood life so congenial. Well, it's that time of year, and it's
also the time to update electrical equipment, bikes and other means of transportation.
Airy Gemini can sometimes seem too speedy or irritating for a Pisces who is looking
for peace of mind, but the Twins compensate by offering the latest information
and workable alternatives. Regarding romance: Assertive Mars could be angling
for a valuable token of your affection – the more beautiful, the better.
