Devil's Playground graced the stage of downtown club Bordello for the final time with a sexy robots-themed burlesque show. Characters included a Hajime Sorayama Gynoid (Courtney Cruz), a femme bot (Daisy Meadows), the Maschinenmensch from Fritz Lang's Metropolis (Lux Lacroix), C3PO (Lucy Fur) and R2D2 (Sin Fisted). Starting May 14 Devil's Playground begins its sizzling new residency at the 1616 Club, also downtown.
When asked why the troupe was leaving Bordello behind, Devil's Playground founder Courtney Cruz had this to say: “Bordello has been a great home but its a lot of standing and not a lot of seating. It was a problem for the audience. You are not able to see the show from everywhere in the venue. The new venue used to be a Spearmint Rhino. Now it's a lounge and live music venue. There's plenty of seating and you can see the stage from everywhere in the club.”

Cruz is also pleased to announce that, starting in July, Devil's Playground will be doing quarterly shows at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip. The first production will be a second rendition of fan-favorite Comic Book Vixens and will feature new characters.
