53-Year-Old Pedestrian Struck and Killed near Frontage Road

KINGSBURG, CA (January 24, 2023) – Friday morning, a pedestrian vs car accident on Draper Street claimed the life of Roberto Raigoza. Authorities responded to the incident around 6:42 a.m. at Frontage Road in Kingsburg, according to initial reports. Upon arrival, officers learned that a westbound pickup on Draper Street struck a pedestrian walking north across the same road, for reasons currently unknown. At this time, the circumstances that led to the incident remain unclear. However, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. Responding medical personnel transported the critically injured pedestrian to Community Regional Medical Center. Unfortunately, the pedestrian identified as 53-year-old Roberto Raigoza of Kingsburg succumbed to his injuries later at the hospital. Furthermore, a large portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
