Hit-and-Run Crash near Interstate 17 Left One Fatality

PHOENIX, AZ (July 5, 2022) Robert Tsiosdia died after a hit-and-run crash along Indian School Road Thursday morning.

The crash happened at around 4:00 a.m. near Interstate 17.

According to Phoenix Authorities, Tsiosdia was crossing the roadway northbound on Indian School Road.

Consequently, a vehicle heading east struck the victim for reasons currently unknown. Apparently, the driver fled the scene upon striking Tsiosdia.

Eventually, police caught the suspect a short time later near North Mountain Park.

Meanwhile, authorities closed multiple lanes on the highway for an extended period of time but was reopened shortly after.

An active investigation into the crash is currently underway. Those with further information about the fatal crash are urged to contact Phoenix Police as soon as possible.
