52-Year-Old Worker Dies in Work Accident on Green Tree Bridge

VICTORVILLE, CA (June 27, 2022) – Robert Sierra Jr. of the Green Tree bridge project died in a construction accident on Ridgecrest Road.

On June 22th, at around 11:39 a.m., officers responded to an accident where a large piece of equipment dropped onto a semi-truck.

The crash resulted in Sierra Jr. being trapped inside the truck where firefighters needed extensive extrication but pronounce him dead at the scene.

An initial investigation stated that the crash occurred at the construction site on the Green Tree bridge.

No other details about the accident are available but further investigations are still underway.
