David Moreno Arrested after Fatal DUI Accident near 18th Street

PHOENIX, AZ (January 19, 2022) – Saturday afternoon, Robert Moore was fatally struck by a DUI driver on Southern Avenue.

Officers responded at the 1800 block of East Southern Avenue, around 3:00 p.m.

According to reports, David Moreno was driving south on 18th Street and struck a motorcycle operated by 48-year-old Moore.

The impact ejected Moore from his motorcycle before he landed on the sedan’s roof. Moreno briefly came to a halt before continuing westbound on Southern Avenue, where he collided with two other automobiles.

Subsequently, Moore fell from the roof, and witnesses followed the hit-and-run vehicle before guiding police to Moreno.
