Hit-and-Run Crash on 9th Street Intersection Left Motorcyclist Killed

UPLAND, CA (December 20, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash on 9th Street and North 13th  intersection left Robert Elmer Meyer dead Monday afternoon.

Upland Police Department officers responded to the incident at 4:53 p.m.

Authorities said 42-Year old Meyer was riding a motorcycle when the vehicle of Jorge Romero hit him.

Despite life-saving efforts, Meyer died at San Antonio Regional Hospital at around 5:22 p.m.

Eventually, police arrested Romero on charges of vehicular manslaughter and felony hit-and-run.

No further details regarding the collision are public at this time; however, more information will be provided once made available.
