Robert Deleon Sr. Killed in Deadly Collision near Benson Avenue

CHINO, CA (September 16, 2021) – Early Saturday morning, Robert Deleon Sr. was fatally struck in a motorcycle crash on Highway 60.

Around 12:45 a.m., officers arrived at the scene just west of Benson Avenue.

The events leading up to the accident are currently unclear. However, a vehicle and a motorcycle collided on the road.

Due to the impact of the crash, Deleon Sr. was thrown off the bike onto the middle of the roadway. Around 12:57 a.m., he was pronounced dead due to the extent of his injuries.

Firefighters responded to the scene and closed down the surrounding lanes during preliminary duties. Although, the road has since been reopened to traffic.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is still underway.
