Santa Rosa Man Hospitalized after Traffic Accident on Tubbs Lane

CALISTOGA, CA (June 16, 2022) – 82-year-old Robert Craig sustained injuries in a motorcycle crash on Highway 128 Monday morning.

The incident happened at around 9:45 a.m. on June 13th, along Highway 128 and Tubbs Lane.

Furthermore, according to the report, John Bell of Novato was stopped at an intersection while driving a 2020 Dodge van southbound on Tubbs Lane.

Meanwhile, Craig was also stopped on westbound Highway 128 in a 2020 Yamaha motorcycle.

Consequently, Craig attempted to bypass the van and collided with it as Bell began to turn left onto eastbound Highway 128.

The crash ejected Craig from his motorcycle. Paramedics then rushed Craig to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for further treatment of serious injuries.

Authorities did not release any additional information at this time. However, the cause of the accident and the factors involved remain under investigation.

Motorcyclists rarely escape injuries in the event of a crash, which is why it is important to never underestimate the bike’s speed. Strictly following traffic laws and the conditions of the road also help to prevent dangerous accidents. For other drivers, do not tailgate a motorcyclist. Keep a safe following distance and give motorcyclists a full traffic lane when you pass.
