Driver Seriously Injured in Auto Collision on Griffith Avenue

MERCED, CA (April 29, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, one man was airlifted and Robert Cervantes was involved in a crash on Westside Boulevard.

The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m., near the intersection of Westside Boulevard and Griffith Avenue.

Per reports, a 31-year-old Livingston man was driving a 1999 Toyota Corolla and veered into the oncoming lanes for reasons unknown. Consequently, the vehicle collided with cultivation equipment attached to a tractor.

Upon their arrival, first responders airlifted the Corolla driver to Modesto Hospital with major injuries to his upper body. Meanwhile, the driver of the new Holland, identified as Robert Cervantes, remained uninjured.

At this time, Merced County Officials are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the crash. Once available, further details will be provided about the auto collision on Griffith Avenue.
