If you walk around at night in certain parts of the San Fernando Valley, here's a heads up.

The Los Angeles Police Department says a pair of robbers is targeting “lone” women on the street, using weapons and taking purses. The victims have so far been confined to the Panorama City area, cops said.

Here's how LAPD describes what has taken place so far:

Two suspects, a male and a female, drive around the area of Panorama City and drive up to victims in a Ford F-150 truck. The male is usually driving and the female gets out of the truck and goes up to victims. The female suspect is armed with different weapons and will demand the victim’s property. The female suspect usually takes the victim’s purse and gets back in the truck. The two suspects are targeting lone females in the Panorama City Area.

Cops aren't being too specific about when and where this has happened. Even the kinds of weapons used is being kept under wraps. Investigators often do this to have a “gotcha” when suspects are busted with, say, the kind of weapons only the victims (and not you, the general public) knew were used.

Anyway, cops have revealed one key piece of evidence.

Security video points to a black 2001 black Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson Edition crew cab that was allegedly used in at least one of the attacks. Police even have a plate number: 77584D1.

The female suspect is described as a Latina in her mid-20s, 5 feet, 4 inches, 140 pounds. The man is said to be mid-20s Latino, 5 feet 11 inches and bald.
