Five Vehicles Involved in Multi-Vehicle Collision

PHOENIX, AZ (September 8, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, police reopened the roadway on Interstate 19 following a multi-vehicle incident.

The incident happened on August 19th in the northbound lanes near milepost 232, where at least five vehicles were involved.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the number of injuries people were not yet determined.

Furthermore, the authorities temporarily shut down both directions of Interstate 19 near New River and Anthem for several hours.

Consequently, the crews cleared the area, and the officers lifted the closure at around 3:30 p.m.
