Next time you feel the rumblings of road rage begin to spread to your fingers (as only it can in the traffic-opolis that is Los Angeles), remember the sad fate of 26-year-old Marvin Osvaldo Gonzalez, a Van Nuys resident who let his rage get the best of him yesterday.

Gonzalez had just been involved in a fender bender with an unidentified 42-year-old. No word on who was at fault, but the aftermath included a 1 p.m. trip to Hart Auto Body on Reseda Boulevard.

That's when Gonzalez unleashed the pain…

… “slashing” his accident buddy with a “sharp box cutter,” according to City News Service.

Of course, the suspect was promptly arrested for assault with a deadly weapon causing great bodily harm (it's true — box cutters mean business), and now must deal with much greater consequences than getting the ding on his car fixed.

The victim was reported as “seriously injured.” So… hopefully that puts things into perspective for your morning/afternoon commute. Road rage is dangerous stuff. Don't let a crazed box-cutter stabbing happen to you.
