I-80 Big-Rig Crash Left Resulted in Road Closures

TRUCKEE, CA (October 1, 2021) A big-rig crash involving two semi-trucks on I-80 resulted in heavy traffic last Tuesday.

The incident happened around 11 p.m. when two big-rigs collided together near Donner Summit.

Luckily, no one sustained injuries from the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.

In addition, investigators also pointed out that the wet weather may have played a factor in the incident.

Around 5:52 a.m., Galt Officials reopened I-80 after emergency crews cleared out the wreckage from the big-rig crash.
