Truck Collision on Highway 99 Lead to Road Closures

BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 16, 2021)A semi truck collision on Highway 99 caused a major traffic backup and road closures Wednesday morning.

The accident happened around 2 in the morning of November 10 on Highway 99 near Highway 166.

According to the CHP, they received reports a collision involving a semi truck carrying fuels.

At this time, officials have not released the main cause of the accident.

Furthermore, both lanes were closed for several hours for clearing operations.

Officials have not released the name, age, or city of residence of the involved driver. However, an active investigation on the collision is still currently underway.
