29-Year-Old Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident near Camino San Bernardo

SAN DIEGO, CA (March 30, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, a motorcyclist died in a three-vehicle crash on Camino del Norte.

The collision occurred on the eastbound lanes of the road around 3:36 p.m., on March 23. Crews arrived to the scene just east of Camino San Bernardo near Camino Del Norte.

Per reports, a 29-year-old motorcyclist was attempting to pass traffic when he struck the rear of a black BMW sedan. The impact ejected the rider from his motorcycle onto the road where he was hit by a passing Nissan Altima.

Paramedics transported the severely injured man to a local hospital, where medics later pronounced him dead.

Additionally, a portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. The identity of the victim is being withheld, pending the notification of their next of kin.

Moreover, San Diego Officials are launching an investigation into the fatal collision along Camino Del Norte.
