Motorcycle-Auto Collision near South Monroe Street Left One Fatality

SAN JOSE, CA (August 26, 2022) – On Wednesday afternoon, a rider died after a motorcycle crash on Moorpark Avenue, police said.

The fatal collision happened around 12:10 p.m., in the area of South Monroe Street and Moorpark Avenue, west of Interstate Highway 280/880 exchange.

Furthermore, according to the police, a man riding a 2001 Ducati motorcycle collided with a westbound 2013 Nissan sedan while going at a high speeds.

Eventually, paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the rider to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Although, their identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, a young female passenger occupying the Nissan was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries from the motorcycle accident.
