West Covina Motorcycle Crash Resulted in One Fatality

WEST COVINA, CA (August 23, 2021) A motorcycle crash took the life of a speeding rider after evading a CHP vehicle on Glendora and Merced Avenue.

Apparently, the officers attempted to stop the biker on a Triumph motorcycle going 100mph on I-10 Freeway.

Subsequently, the motorcyclist went off the westbound 10 Freeway at West Covina Parkway in West Covina.

However, the speeding rider ran past a red light at Glendora and Merced avenues and crashed into a westbound Toyota Camry.

As a result, the 34-year-old motorcyclist from La Puente died at the scene after being ejected off the motorcycle.

Meanwhile, the 34-year-old female Toyota driver and her 40-year-old male passenger sustained minor injuries.

The West Covina Officials are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the motorcycle crash.
