One Dead Following Motorcycle Crash on 101 Freeway near White Oak Avenue

ENCINO, CA (March 2, 2023) – Tuesday evening, a motorcycle crash on 101 Freeway claimed the life of a motorcyclist.

The incident happened on February 21st, just before around 8:00 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the Freeway near the White Oak Avenue exit.

According to reports, a motorcyclist and an SUV collided which caused traffic disturbance in the area. The impact of the collision resulted in the rider becoming trapped underneath the SUV.

First responders at the site of the collision reported that the rider was “beyond medical help”. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, the identity of the rider has not yet been determined and the crash is still under investigation.

Meanwhile, the involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

Following the crash, crews issued a SigAlert on all eastbound lanes of the Freeway.
