30-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in Traffic Crash near Bridge Streat

WATSONVILLE, CA (July 6, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, a male rider was killed in a motorcycle collision on Hushbeck Avenue. Authorities responded to the scene shortly before 9:00 p.m., at the intersection of Hushbeck Avenue and Bridge Street. Upon arrival, officials learned that an SUV was involved in the accident. Due to the impact, the rider was ejected from the motorcycle onto the road. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the 30-year-old male rider dead at the scene. The SUV driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries. Meanwhile, the SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. At this time, it is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash. However, an active investigation is underway.
