Motorcycle Crash near State Highway 92 Left Male Rider Dead

REDWOOD CITY, CA (May 2, 2023) – Saturday night, a motorcycle-auto collision on Highway 101 left one rider dead. The fatal crash happened around 11:56 p.m. along northbound U.S. Highway 101, just south of State Highway 92. According to the CHP,  a motorcyclist traveling northbound hit a Toyota sedan. However, the cause of the collision remains unclear. Tragically, the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. His identity has not been disclosed pending notification from the next of kin. Meanwhile, the sedan driver stayed at the site of the incident and cooperated with the police. In the end, CHP Officers closed all the northbound lanes of Highway 101 until 1:00 a.m. and diverted the motorists onto State Highway 92. Redwood City Officials are asking anyone with information about the motorcycle-auto collision to contact the local authorities as soon as possible.
