Male Rider Killed after Vehicle Collision on North Walnut Road
LAS VEGAS, NV (August 16, 2023) – Friday morning, one person died after a motorcycle accident on East Owens Avenue. A report came to the police where a 2007 GMC Yukon and a 2009 Harley-Davidson VRSCDX collided. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the GMC was headed eastbound on East Owens Avenue while the Harley-Davidson was traveling westbound. Furthermore, the GMC attempted to make a left turn entering northbound when the motorcyclist collided with the vehicle. As a result, the rider was ejected from his motorcycle, where he was later pronounced dead at the scene. Moreover, the driver of the GMC stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. No impairment was found on the driver. At this time, the identity of the rider was not yet disclosed, pending family notification. No additional information was added and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section took over the investigation.Sincere sympathies to the family and friends of the deceased.
