Reckless Rider Hospitalized after Vehicle Collision near Lewis River
CLARK COUNTY, WA (July 28, 2023) – Friday evening, officers were dispatched to a motorcycle crash on Northeast Hayes Road. It happened near the intersection of Northeast Polar Avenue, along the Lewis River, at around 9:10 p.m., July 21st. According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, a motorcyclist attempted to pass on vehicles at high speeds without any light on. As a result, the motorcyclist collided with a vehicle and suffered serious injuries. He was transported to Peace Health Southwest Medical Center in a critical state. Furthermore, the driver that the rider collided with remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. Meanwhile, multiple lanes were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. The roadway has since been reopened to the public at this time.
