Motorcyclist Seriously Injured after a Hit-and-Run Crash near 35th Avenue

PHOENIX, AZ (August 23, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, a hit-and-run incident on Loop 101 left a rider hospitalized. It occurred on August 13th, just after 12:15 a.m., near 35th Avenue. According to reports, a motorcyclist was traveling along Loop 101, when he was struck by a vehicle. After hitting the rider, the driver of the involved vehicle fled the scene. Upon arrival, emergency responders immediately transported the rider to a local hospital, for treatment of unknown injuries. The officers were not yet able to release any descriptions of the vehicle. They are still looking for any witnesses of the crash. Meanwhile, the freeway was blocked for three hours to allow crews to clean up. Further investigation is still active.
