Motorcyclist Killed in Deadly Accident near Jolette Avenue

GRANADA HILLS, CA (March 3, 2022) – Saturday afternoon, a rider suffered fatal injuries in a motorcycle collision on Balboa Boulevard.

Per reports, the incident occurred just before 3:00 p.m., in the 12200 block of Balboa Boulevard. Crews arrived near the intersection of Pineridge Drive and Jolette Avenue.

Investigators later said that a southbound motorcyclist rode through a red light and collided with a pickup-truck.

Due to the impact of the crash, medics pronounced the rider dead at the scene.

Upon impact, the pickup-truck driver pulled over and attempted to render aid to the motorcyclist. Officers also say the driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.

The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.

At this time, Granada Hills Officials are still currently investigating the deadly motorcycle collision on Balboa Boulevard.
