Motorcycle Crash on Cherry Avenue Kills One Long Beach Man

LONG BEACH, CA (November 1, 2021) A 25-year-old Long Beach man died in a car and motorcycle crash on Cherry Avenue on Sunday.

The collision happened at 4:40 p.m. on October 24 at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and Bixby Road.

According to reports, the rider of the Suzuki motorcycle failed to stop at a red light and collided with a black Nissan Rouge at the junction.

Officers arrived on the scene and pronounced the unidentified rider dead.

At this point, authorities have ruled out distracted or drunk driving as contributing causes to the crash. An investigation, however, is still underway.
